Huge disparity in DJ Williams rankings. Jene has him 8th and Bloom 44th (dynasty rankings).Either of you care to share any insight on this guy?
Bloom's rankings are dated 4/23. Not to speak for Sig, but they may reflect some uncertainty over whether Wilson would be traded (I don't remember the dates there) or more likely, his oft posted belief that the Broncos would target Willis as a MLB prospect in the draft.
thing about DJ Williams is that Al Wilson was never that productive playing in the same spot...yet he kept getting voted to Pro Bowls, etc. so his peers and the coaches obviously believed he was playing very well.Williams gets a big boost from moving inside and staying on the field for passing downs, but how much of an increase on Wilson's numbers can we realistically expect?
Totally different scheme. This Miami 4-3 is the scheme of Ray Lewis, Zach Thomas, Nick Barnett, Micheal Barrow, etc. The MLB is the highlighted position, protected by big DTs and DE split wide to funnel plays toward the middle of the field rather than stringing them out for the pursuit. Williams ripped up the league as a WLB in Larry Coyer's poorer scheme for IDP value as a rookie. He's ridiculously talented. As a three down linebacker, there's 110 solo tackle potential here. I think Denver's defense will be good enough where he won't get that much opportunity so I'm having trouble putting him above the 8-12 tier. But if I like what I hear in camp, I'll probably put him in my top five in both redraft and dynasty rankings.
