Yep…they’ve had him for a pre-draft visit. He’s certainly on the radar. For me, he’s a level above the rest of the DE/EDGE prospects, even Walker.

See Pete Carroll, Russell Wilson, and Matt Flynn, although I think Geno is the starter in this case. But if Sanders showed out in this scenario, I think Sneaky Pete would not keep him benched just because of Geno’s contract, as much as it would suck for Geno.
Carroll managed to have the pulse of the team and the front office with the Flynn/Wilson choice; but he is older and much less in charge of player personnel than he was in Seattle. So it all factors in. If it happens it will be something to keep an eye on.

agreed. Carroll isnt afraid to give a young QB a shot if he thinks hes got what it takes.
Russell Wilson was not a first rounder and Carroll had no issue with starting him as a rookie. so If they did draft a young QB (even in round 2 or 3) I could see Carroll starting the kid if he showed well. Thats just who he is as a coach.

1.11 SF 49ers select Tyler Warren, Penn State, TE
After much thought, going to go BPA (IMO anyway) and give Kyle a a big weapon (literally) to utilize in 12 personnel. Kyle loves 2 TE sets, but unfortunately, they have never had a 2nd TE who is a pass catching threat. Warren can play in-line and will give flexibility to let Kittle run more routes.
Looked at DT and CB as well, but feel good about getting a potential young Gronk

Which brings up a very interesting point, how much do you put into stats?
I have a hard time when college player produces eye popping stats vs players that might not even be drafted
I like to see potential 1st round picks compete at say WR vs CB in a big game/Bowl Game and see what unfolds.
Favre beat FSU with an unranked Southern Miss team in '89, that should have sent a powerful message to every front office in the NFL

We did get a fair offer from Arizona but passed and we do see names that are surprising at this point
That said, the Miami Dolphins have many holes and one of their biggest right now is in their Secondary
Storm Duck and Kader Kohou are starting CB and NB right now plus Miami allowed Holland to walk for nothing just as they did Starks, Hunt and Van Ginkel the previous season
Sure, we see the holes along that IOL and know that both Tackle spots hang in fragility. These things hinder the offense and bring down the value of all the skill positions
That said to be able to take the first DB off the board is simply going to be too much to resist and will certainly pair up well with Jalen Ramsey

His tape is off the charts and he can either be outside or slot so there is plenty of versatility.

With pick 1.14, the Colts select TE Colston Loveland, Michigan.
The pick shouldn’t be a huge surprise as many have identified Tight End as the most glaring need for the Colts. I had given some thought to addressing the interior offensive line with this pick and then target someone like Harold Fannin Jr. later. However, this could be the make or break pick to help Anthony Richardson and I’m convinced Colston is the 1B TE in the draft.
Loveland's impact was immediate in Ann Arbor, earning Offensive Rookie of the Year honors as a freshman before becoming a first-team All-Big Ten selection as a sophomore. His junior year saw him break Michigan's single-season reception record for tight ends with 56 catches earning second-team All-American honors. Throughout his career, Loveland consistently produced despite playing in an offense that heavily prioritized the ground game.
At 6’6” 250 pounds with 4.70 speed, Loveland can present a problem to Defensive Coordinators by stressing defenses vertically. His basketball background shows up in his exceptional body control, catch radius and battling through contested situations where he can effectively box out defenders and high-point the ball like he's grabbing rebounds.

Would I have liked to see more sacks? Yes…but his pressures/hurries were solid.
But I referenced Hunter and JJ Watt was also dinged for low ‘counting’ stats. So ultimately I think that can be looked past. His tools and overall size/speed potential just warrants a shot and for a team who has lacked truly ‘distinguishable’ defensive stars in their history…time to shoot your shot.
He does need refinement and coaching though…he’s no sure thing.

Obviously hate this for fantasy but with Deebo gone, I can see this being a good pick for the team. Gives them some real versatility and I trust Shanahan could actually make this work. I wonder if Kittle would run more routes though. I could see them using Kittle to block even more since he’s so good at it.

I think he will. SF ran 30 percent of their plays with 2 TEs and that was with pretty bad options. They were even using Juszczyk at TE a lot. I expect a lot more 12 personnel this year. Warren can block and free Kittle up a bit more. Obviously it will help the running game as well. Plus Jennings is an excellent blocker too. CMC should have a lot of room to run this year.

Selecting Egbuka at #18 would be less about the position he plays and more about the person. Egbuka is the quintessential Seahawks pick. He was ‘the man’ at Ohio State who everyone looked up to. His maturity, leadership and competitive drive is top-level. He is a great scheme fit and his reliability on and off the field will replace the void left by Tyler Lockett.
He’s also productive, physical, a winner and his testing creates a perfectly high ceiling and floor. Some believe he can be Amon-Ra St. Brown at the next level, also drawn comps to Chris Godwin.
Look at it this way. Lockett had a 10-year career in Seattle. If the Seahawks had used a top-20 pick on him, nobody would’ve complained — irrespective of needs elsewhere. It’s not beyond the realms of possibility the Seahawks look at Egbuka and see someone capable of having an equally long and productive career, with the ability to help shape the mentality of the roster for years. Also factor in the "want to be here" mentality that showed DK the door after a couple years of wanting out. Embuka is from Washington and is a self proclaimed big Seahawk fan.
Also keenly aware the OL is a mess inside. No shock if they addressed that, but in Schienders tenure he's never picked and IOL below the 3rd round. Which could also be the problem. Also strongly considered one of the two safety's here.

Tyreek Hill is now wearing a Bills uniform
-This is really about his attitude both on and off the field. He tried to pull the Antonio Brown move and remove himself from the last game of the season
Mike McDaniel acknowledged this happened and that's good enough for me to move him along despite Miami losing a lot of explosiveness on offense
All that speed got Miami ZERO Playoff wins and I think they are much worse in 2025 then they were in 2023 with so many players let go in free agency
-Hill has numerous issues off the field in recent seasons, you can google them all. House fire, assault on a woman in his backyard, numerous baby mamas which isn't a crime but he shows poor judgement time and time again. Then he lips off when he doesn't touch the ball enough plus he got himself put in hand cuffs Week 1 no matter what your opinion of that situation was and Miami defended Hill but he still walked out on them in Game 17 so I say good bye and good luck Tyreek Hill
-Miami paid a lot for him so i don't see them actually pulling off a decent trade for him
They gave up 29 and 50 for him plus two 4th round picks and a 6th
I asked Oz for the 132 just to save a little face, he was nice to me
Most Phins feel like Hill should fetch a first but I wholeheartedly disagree
And yes Miami will lose a lot
-I maybe should have drafted McMillan and then traded Hill but I still wanted to get a Cornerback to lock down the other side of the field across from Ramsey so that didn't change things
Miami now has 48 and 56
Miami also has 98, 115, 132 ans 135 which can be used to possibly move up into the 2nd/3rd again
Miami has 5 picks in the 5th and 7th rounds, we won't get to make those picks but I will lay out a battle plan on them and players I want when we get towards the end of the Draft

All true, and it wouldn’t surprise me if he completely bombed at this point. I have no desire to hold him in my FF leagues right now.
But the upside, reminiscent of Brady to Moss, is also easy to imagine.

Tetairoa McMillan makes the long journey from Tucson to Phoenix.
McMillan had 2 big years in 3 seasons at the University of Arizona. He has great size and body control and is very good at the catch point, and also has good movement skills and some ability to make guys miss after the catch. I've heard lots of comps to Drake London, and some to Alshon Jeffery, Mike Evans, Tee Higgins, and Marvin Harrison Jr. He gives the Cardinals a 3rd weapon in the passing game along with Harrison & McBride. His addition should make it easier to move Harrison around and use him on more in-breaking routes where he was at his best as a rookie, rather than forcing him into the X role.
I have McMillan as a top 6 player in this draft class, as part of a tier with Mason Graham & Will Campbell, clearly ahead of all the other non-Hunter WRs. I liked him enough to even try a little trade-up which got turned down (offering Miami 16+78 for 13+98). So getting him at 16 was the draft board falling perfectly for me. Will Johnson or Kelvin Banks would've been solid fallbacks; after that it gets much dicier IMO.
