FBG NASCAR 2012 (2 Viewers)

I don't think they ever thought of this one before.

I like how the announcer proposed somebody get in that truck and drive it off the track. These are still true rednecks.

That was crazy. I'm surprised how long it took to get some real hoses onto that fire to finally put it out.

:lmao:

They've got to call this a race, right? There's no way they can drive through that patch, let alone damage to the barrier/structure from the heat

That has got to be the strangest crash in NASCAR history.

And there is a good chance the track is a mess right there. They may have to call this race.

I couldn't believe that the safety truck driver was not wearing a fire suit considering he's towing all of that jet fuel.

Even if it didn't burn chunks of race track up, they have to get rid of all that jet fuel, water, and foam.

Seriously. What happens if they miss a little and someone drops a tire on that turn, sparks the area and it goes up again.

Totally crazy. One of the strangest things I've seen in sports.

No way should they finish this race. They have no idea what kind of damage that surface took with that sustained heat.

Hey Juan, I want you to get out there and hit the pace car.

Hit the pace car?

Yeah, hit the pace car.

Why the hell would I do that?

Because you've hit everything else out there, I want you to be perfect. Now go!

I loved Duvall in that movie."Now Cole, when that little needle goes up into the red and reads 9,000 RPM, that's bad!"

Great line about tonight's race from Deadspin.

There's been fire, and there's been rain. Tomorrow's forecast: sunny days that I thought would never end.

$300 million facility. Biggest race in American sports. Millions of people all over the world watching. And they are going to fix the thing with a $20 seed spreader and $15 worth of Tide laundry detergent.

I love NASCAR.

Has this been proven to actually work in the past?
Tide or other detergents on oil/fuel on the speedway? DW mentioned that it worked at Richmond and I saw it used at Shangri-La (short track) once after a fuel spill (diesel tank on a hauler let go heading over the first turn entrance). Diesel and jet fuel/kerosene is a lot more persistently oily than gasoline. They gonna follow Danica into the ladies room?

So if it rains is it going to take twice as long to dry the track since Montoya demolished one of the jet dryers?

And will it leave a ring of suds around the drain, err infield.

:lmao: They gonna throw down the speckled finish that comes with that garage floor epoxy kit?
Did you see earlier where they showed how a little pothole developed on the track two years ago? It took them like 3 different fixes. A POTHOLE! :lmao:
