FBG prelim cheatsheet (1 Viewer)

Is there a reason J.lewis is ranked where he is? I was surprised at the ranking seeing how well he did against TB last week and that he is going against a defense which is probably the worst in the league....am I missing something?

that's about right where i see him. he does nothing in the passing game so there's a cap on how high he's going to be ranked IMO.

PPR issues aside, I think I'd at least like him better than Caddy this week. Perhaps the emphasis is on "PRELIM cheat sheet"

Where would you ranked him and why?

Hello hh, here's what you're missing.#1 JLew had 18 carries for 78 @ 4.3 a pop and 1 TD ranking him #13.

#2 In 2005 Tampa was ranked #6 against the run.

Where would you ranked him and why?
He is playing Oakland who just gave up a ton to SD.

He didn't practice last week due to his hip injury. He did practice Wednesday this week. Maybe there's some Qs about his hip

I believe I read this morning that J. Lewis was downgraded from Probable to Questionable on yesterdays injury report.

Maybe this is a part of the reason?

Based on the boxscore you would think OAK did a horrible job vs the run but I thought they looked pretty good in the 2nd half.

oak de did a lot better against the run than some people think. first they were playing LT, second they held hjim in check in the 2nd half.

I don't know how much you can credit Oak since everyone in the stadium and watching at home knew the Chargers were going to run it every single play. It's much easier for a defense if they know what the offense is going to do because they can commit the entire defense to stop the run and not play the pass at all (which is what they did). Before the Raiders KNEW that the Chargers were going to run on every play and their was an illusion of a passing threat they were gashed at will. Like against SD they will be facing one of the best defenses and I would expect them to struggle to move the ball just like last week so the defense will be on the field all game. The Ravens will probably not be as one dimensional since they have a vet QB as opposed a QB in his 1st career start.

OAK really held LT in check for the last three quarters. I believe he had about 100 ru in the first quarter and finished with about 135 for the game. If BAL D keeps taking the ball and scores, we might not see much of lewis at all.

well im not denying that, but i was all set to go with lewis then i see parker leaps and bounds ahead of him, against a good jax D on the road. just made me scratch my head. obviously I will go with my gut, but i thought i had that one pegged....guess not

This looks like another Oakland shutout to me. I tend to think that Oakland will be down 21-0 by the fourth quarter vs. Baltimore, and the Raider players will be looking forward to getting on that plane back home. Therefore, I think Jamal has a good shot at 100 yards and a TD. The bigger issue to me is Mike Anderson stealing carries in a game that looks like a blowout.

I know it's only week 1 1/2 but it wouldn't surprise me if Oak ends up the #1 pick next year. :bag:

Very fair point about the SD game plan and Rivers. I think there are various factors involved though like LT being more of a threat for pass catching than Lewis and BAL would generally lean towards establishing the run first.
