My question arises from the #3 rating given to the Ravens D/ST last week. They obviously got torched by the Steelers Monday night primarily due to the fact that both starting cornerbacks were injured. I realize that their offense left them on the field all night long in terrible field position. I never would have started them had I known that both corners would be out. I haven't focused on the injury report for my defenses in the past, but apparently must do so now.
I know if one of my position players is hurt, the projections will reflect that, but I'm surprised that the D/ST rankings did not reflect the fact that both the Ravens' starting cornerbacks were out.
Just curious as to the process for evaluating defenses on a weekly basis as I may need to reconsider the amount of reliance I place on them.
