How do we know some of the scores of left wingers aren’t claiming to be right-wingers so they can scream “blatant falsehood” when the 85/15 percent is used?

Exactly the reason the public poll was needed. Both ways. 

I do think moderate should have been split into leans left/leans right. I am not a liberal but I do lean left and just moderate by itself doesnt reflect that.

Bernie Sanders is an independent. 

No he is "other".   He doesn't belong in this vote as a "leftist."      The choices are of moderate and independent  are vague.

Can I post a picture of Jay Cutler with a cigarette hanging from his mouth with a “Don’t Care” caption? That’s really how I’ve come to view certain people’s politics and in turn, their personalities. I don’t care. It takes a lot to get me to that point (I generally care for everything and everyone) but some of the people here can go fly a kite metaphorically, really. I think very little of them. Is that whining?
