Way back before the season started, we were hearing that if there was no CBA before the end of the league year, the draft would be held shortly after the Super Bowl. Is this true? Is it still the case? I haven't heard anything about it at all since then, and it seems like this would/should be a topic of discussion among those that cover the league.

Anyone know what's up?

Everything I've heard was that the draft would happen in April, regardless of whether the current CBA expired or not; the risk being a player holdout sometime during the summer, as I understand it...

My guess is that you're right - if the draft were being moved to February, it would be a topic of discussion...since it isn't a topic of discussion, I'm guessing the draft isn't moving.

I have never heard anything about it being moved. If it were, we would all be hearing about it. They are holding the draft as usual, regardless of the CBA talks.

If anything it happens after a CBA with a rookie pay scale is put in place.

Well I guess I was way off base then. I could have sworn that LaCanflora or someone said this on Total Access or somewhere way back before the season started. I must have just misunderstood.

Do the underclassmen have to declare earlier than normal or anything like that?
