FF Podcasts... (1 Viewer)

I listen to ESPN and CBS, as well as the Audible. I just don't live or die by them. I may agree with one thing, then disagree with another thing said on each of the podcasts.

Lammey and Bloom are the best in the business, but these others are good as well.

The Fantasy Exchange

Red vs Blue

Thundering Blurb

Fantasy Pros 911

2 Feet in Bounds

What's Your Fantasy

Another recommendation here of RED vs BLUE (Friday nights on blogspot) - hosted by Team Legacy from the FBG boards - in real life Scott Atkins, veteran FF player and successful in high stakes formats - WCOFF, NFFC, and FFPC.

Also TWO FEET IN BOUNDS with Craig Davis from FantasyFootball.com has been on for over five years, has at least two podcasts per week (now also at blog talk radio network) and occasional great guests

This one is ridiculously boring...These guys could put caffeine to sleep. Love Sig and Bloom...but there is nothing out there with any entertainment value.

Scott sounds like he knows what he is talking about, however the other guy comes off rather clueless at times.

LOL True but Scott is 90% of the show. Also a vote for Lou Tranquilli's BFD Fantasy show on Monday night.

I listen to the fantasy football guys, I find them entertaining although I don't really agree with their draft strategy, etc. They firmly believe RB-RB, before anything else. Actually, they believe 3 RB's in the first 5 rounds I believe.

I like the espn one. There I said it. [ducks]
I've tried to listen to their fantasy podcast. Sometimes it is amusing, but it is idiotic most of the time. Matthew Barry is a moron. I love it when they say, "If you have Steven Jackson, this is the week to get him in the line up." Really, you think if I drafted Steven Jackson he would be sitting on my bench? Tell me when to play Jamal Lewis, and be right. That is what I want. Don't tell me to play Jason Witten this week. Jeremy Green's podcast can be good sometimes, but neither holds a candle to either FBG or the Guru podcasts.

Fantasy Football Weekly on the KFAN network out of the Twin Cities. These guys (Paul Charchian and John "the commissioner" Habermeyer) have been doing a fantasy football program for about 20 years. They know there stuff and fantasy football content is their priority. Two hour show every Saturday morning from early August to the end of the year. Great stuff.

I like Jeremy Green's podcast and agree about Cecil/Bloom and Guru. M Berry is a ham, but can be amusing. Not every league I am in has owners that spend 2+ hours researching football daily like myself. Matthew, Nate, and Pod Vader represent the masses not the dedicated.

I found a podcast I think people might enjoy. I was pretty impressed with it. It's called Fantasy Freakin Football (you can find it on iTunes). Never heard of it before. Good content & some decent humor. It's a guy & a girl. I guess the girl is an accomplished player in the high stakes circle (Jules MacLean). Another interesting thing is she's the special asisstant to Quentin Tarantino. The guy in the show (Garret Mathany) pretty much takes the lead (or he did in the one episode I listened to) & seems to know his stuff. Here's a clip about the girl:

. I listen to many of the podcasts previously listed & FFF is another one that looks promising. I'm curious to see what they do the rest of the season.

PS...I just finished listening to FFF's latest episode & something they said bugged me. The guy on the show took a shot at FBG. He basically insinuated their draft kit was a better value & said a couple negative things about this site. Probably the worst thing he said was that FBG doesn't take a stand on players (that doesn't even make sense). Nothing too bad, but still, there's a way to promote yourself without trying to trash the competition.

That wasn't cool. I'll likely still listen because their content has some potential, but what he said came across really bad.

Listened to the Red vs. Blue once and NEVER again. One guy told a personal story for 30 minutes, then followed that by talking about freaking baseball and then followed by boxing, since it was advertised as a fantasy football show I was pissed.

just started listening to John Hansen @ the fantasy guru podcast
Is this one free? I know I can handle listening to him since he used to be on comcast sports net.Besides the Audible which is awesome, I have listened to FF Mastermind, Red vs. Blue and FF Toolbox, out of those FF Toolbox was barely listenable and the other 2 were utter pieces of garbage. Loved how Mastermind ripped on ESPN fantasy stuff and then they proceeded to talk about "Who is the #1 pick" for 45 minutes, n00bs.

one guy is pretty good the other is horrendous. Unfortunately the good doesn't over come how bad the bad is. He's a real albatross.

Thank you, too many trips lately and not enough audible if you can believe it.
