Thanks, I've had very profitable experiences hedging in the past and I'm hoping it continues. I have considerably more money involved in this tourney than I've ever had in any sporting event and I'm a little nervous about sticking myself into bad situations but it'll be a good learning experience.

I suck at the numbers, so humor me, but why 1100/1000K hedge for Montana (why that amount)?

I have 1300 to win 100k+ on New mexico. If they get upset in the first round I'm out 1300 with no hedges. The Montana ML is +350, I could bet 400 on that to cover my bet but instead I take Montana +9 for a 9 point middle. Now if Montana wins straight up I lose $300. If New Mexico blows them out by 10+ I'm now risking 2400 to win 100k+ BUT if it's a close game and New Mexico wins by 8 or less my New Mexico future is still alive and I've won 1k so my future on New Mexico is now 300 to win 100k+Make sense? I also think Montana +9 is a good bet. I'm not hedging any of my other bets because I'm expecting wins in all those games. In fact I'm actually going to bet on purdue, the media is making way too much of this hummell injury.

ETA: one other bit of positive news, increased limits online for the tourney :excited: didn't know this til this morning

Okay, here goes nothing. I don't know if I used to correct amounts to hedge as I just threw these up. I don't know if I hedge too little or too much, but we'll see.

Washington

I added two teams in who I like, Pitt and Washington.

1st rd

Nova -4000 - $1000 to win $25

New Mexico (I don't like this bet at all by the way) - $200 to win $60

Cuse -3400 - $1000 to win $30

WVU -4000 - $1000 to win $25

Purdue -178 - $200 to win $112

K State -2200 - $500 to win $23

Washington +116 - $500 to win $580

Pitt -650 - $1000 to win $153
I played Pitt to make the sweet 16 +122 at 5dimes, if you like Pitt that seems like a better way to go.

Thanks!@As a Purdue alone, I am terrified of a first round ouster. The entire Minnesota game (big ten tourney) was a cringe fest.

I tailed him on probably 80% of his plays yesterday, he plays a lot, I made 31 bets yesterday. He probably played 40-45 totalI made up everything I lost on wednesday and a little more. Full scale tailing again today.

Purdue -4(-105), this hit 3.5 a few times this week and I missed it every time. Like I said yesterday I think this line is due to all the hype the hummel injury is getting.

Cornell/Temple thoughts? I'm tempted to jump on Temple at -3.5

Cornell is getting a lot of love for hanging with Kansas. No one is mentioning that Syracuse demolished them and that they lost to Penn. I agree they got shafted with a 12 seed but I think Temple got the bigger shaft with a 5 seed.

Accuscore has been a great reference for me this season:

From TheRX:

http://www.therxforums.com/showthread.php?...0650&page=3

ACCUSCORE

Yesterday accuscore went 12-4 on sides, 10-6 on totals, 2-1 on ML plays for +12.3 units.

The number in bold represents how strong the bet is according to accuscore, with (1) being the strongest and (16) being the weakest.

12:15 p.m.: Morgan State +17.5 (1), u137 (16)

12:25 p.m.: Xavier +1 (12), u142 (12)

12:30 p.m.: Cornell +3.5 (5), o119 (6)

2:30 p.m.: Siena +4.5 (6), o129.5 (5)

2:35 p.m.: Missouri +1.5 (8), o140 (10)

2:45 p.m.: Pittsburgh -9.5, o134.5 (15)

2:50 p.m.: Wofford +10 (9), o115.5 (2)

4:45 p.m.: Utah State +3 (4), o125 (1)

7:10 p.m.: Gonzaga +1 (10), o132 (14)

7:15 p.m.: Oklahoma State -1.5 (2), o136 (3)

7:20 p.m.: New Mexico State +13.5 (3), u148 (13)

7:25 p.m.: Ark Pine Bluff +23 (16), o126.5 (9)

9:30 p.m.: Syracuse -15.5 (15), o143 (11)

9:35 p.m.: Ohio State -17 (7), o132 (8)

9:40 p.m.: Maryland -9.5 (13), u157.5 (4)

9:45 p.m.: California -1 (11), u151 (7)

Good money line plays: Gonzaga (watch for this to flip), Missouri, Cornell, Xavier, Utah State

Interesting that Accuscore has Wisconsin over as its top rated play when the line is going to fall till the game starts.

I already played u115.5 (-121) courtesy to Thunder, I may try to middle if it drops another point.

ooof New Mexico opens as a 1.5 pt dog to Washington....hmmmmm
They will be dogs in every game from here on out.
What....you weren't impressed with that win over Montana last night?ETA: BOLD statement when a 3 seed is a dog to an 11 seed in the second round :goodposting:
Well, Washington was getting tons of respect in their 1st rd game against Marquette being a 1.5 pt dog. I see no reason why Wash should really be favored though. I make it pk. And I should add I have Wash going to the finals so I am biased.

My buddy dan from over at 2p2 turned me on to him. He says he's been making him some bank for over a year now. Supposedly he has 4+ years history but who knows. I dont care enough to look. Right now I know he is to totals/sides what gooroo is to props (well not quite... but in the ballpark)

Looks like he may have accidentally copied and pasted his action onto his picks today. His % picks are based on a $70,000 bank roll. One guy says he has been following him for years and always wondered his bet size.Curious.ETA: He's made me money again today. Guy is an action monster, plays on almost every game. Simply amazing if he has been doing this for "years" with this kind of ROI.

Just a suggestion to folks who are looking for someone who's been pretty strong this season on NCAA Hoops (Sides/totals)

Check out Thunder @ Madjack sports

Someone turned me onto him last night. Today He's 5-1 (with one pending that looks good). Word is he's been hitting at a sick clip all season. Just FYI YMMV.

For the tourney I'll be combining his plays with our own pickmaster general GooRoo
So what did you do when Thunderman posted big plays on Minny and Sienna and I posted Xavier and Purdue? :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: Hope Vegas is going well for you GB!

I didn't know you did sides too GR. I thought only props. I would have signed up for your service had I known that.PM me if you're interested in taking on one more, but I only play on matchbook. No props.

Round 3 HedgesDuke ML (-380) 4150 to win 1092, I actually didn't love this bet until the ML jumped to -450 and sportsbook was slow to move their line so I jumped on it. I'm not a Duke fan but I think they make the final 4 this year. 3 guys averaging 17+ppg, nice cushion to have in the NCAA tourney, one player struggles, 2 others can pick up the slack.

I like Kansas State, if I see -4 I'll bet them, I'd probably bet it at 4.5 but because of the future I'm probably sitting this game out and hoping for the KSU win

I hate that I bet Gonzaga last round, I thought at the time it was a good bet, SU really came to play. I have no idea what I'm going to do with the Butler game.

WVU favored by 5, again not sure what I'm going to do in this game

Spring training is starting to wind down, we had a couple 60 degree days here in Michigan, and I'm getting bored with destroying the March Madness tourney, so I wanted to turn my attention to baseball for a minute. I have another "List" ala the Jano Fade available. You must have a sportsbook.com or betus account, and yes these are strong enough to open an account just for this occasion. Last year these hit at approximately 85%, I expect at least 70% this year with alot of upside potential from there. Please shoot me a message if you're interested. Thanks!

:thumbup:Looking forward to seeing the list. I've been saving up my pennies to be ready to invest for the baseball season. Hopefully it's successful as last seasons baseball campaign.Baseball season can be a real grind, it's fun to have bets like these to keep track of without having to check lines everyday.

A buddy of mine is about to pay too much to the Gold Sheet for baseball picks this year -- he's been using them for college hoops. I told him to look elsewhere. Who/what should he buy? I think he wants to be able to call-in or something. He's not a prop player, unfortunately, and goes through one book that doesn't offer them anyway. Suggestions?

Also, might as well ask who (what services) you guys like for other sports?

Thanks deuce, but can you tell us why, exactly? And what sports?
He was on my local espn affiliate talk show claiming he was winning at a 70% clip over the course of the last few years. So I gave it a shot during the college/nfl season. I ended up hitting around 64% of the games he picked/I took. He gives you a good variety of spreads/money lines/over unders. His horse racing guy is really good from what i could tell.

Thanks Deuce. Come on, where are the rest of you?
I do not know 1 person who has ever found a pay service that has been that reliable. Honestly, GR is one of the few people I have seen who has had success on a regular (i.e. not lost all of their money) basis for years. Good luck to your buddy, but from what i have seen you get guys on hot streaks and they can get a large gathering off of that. If he finds any though, feel free to post it.

I mean in all honestly it's tough to not win when you specialize in a market with $500 max bets. But, how long can you keep these books open and operating when betting this much and killing them?

Tell your buddy that I will give him the Gold Sheet picks for half of what they want to charge him. I get all of the Gold Sheet picks through my Bloomberg terminal at work.

Um, Marshall, just answer the question. My friend was/is about to buy some baseball tout deal for like 500 for the season. I simply told him I'd see if one of you guys might have a better lead (than Gold Sheets) or something.
