FFPC dynasty and redraft thread (2 Viewers)

I can't remember when do new division draws usually happen? I thought it was after the cut down date but obviously that's not it.

It's probably when they finalize the rookie draft start times (right now all my leagues say 8 am ET on May 3). My guess is it'll be after all the orphans are sold.

took me a grip to find it but:

FFPC Standard Dynasty Leagues

Dynasty Leagues will each be comprised of 12 teams/participants/managers and the regular season will run from Week 1 through Week 14, with playoffs running from week 15 through week 17. All 12 teams will be randomly placed into 3 divisions of 4 teams each. Divisions will be randomized each season by the software after rookie drafts are complete.

If all else fails, RTFM.

Hey so then does that mean it happens the *instant* the 7.12 comes off the board? If so I feel like we should do a shot together on zoom or something and then watch the shuffle and talk ****.

Currently in the 4th round of a TriFlex startup. I'm on deck at 4.07.

Made a small trade to move from 1.06 to 1.05 to not get sniped on Bowers.
2.07 took McBride and then traded him to the 2.08 because I sniped him. Got 3.05 and their future 1st and a late swap.
3.05 took JSN
3.06 took Achane yeah IDK just thinking he might have one or two league winning type seasons in him it's a steep price but didn't love the WRs enough. Would have taken McConkey but got sniped.

I have several choices I like here being on deck but just thought I'd share because hey it's April.

FWIW Jeanty came off at 2.06 as RB3 Hampton at 4.05 as RB7 they're the only two rookies so far.

Love it. Keep the updates coming every few rounds please. I find them interesting…at least living vicariously thru your start up draft :)

I just took Tyler Warren at 4.07 as TE4

and then McMillan came off at 4.08 as WR19 (he was going to be my other choice if Warren went first)

Speaking of Tyler WarrenTE…I’m sitting at 1.6 in one FFPC 1Qb league and was mostly focused on RB and WR rookie rankings, but with Andrews and Kraft as my TEs in that league, I imagine a TE at that slot is firmly in play. Thoughts?

in the rookie drafts? absolutely. unless it's some sort of horrid landing spot, which is very possible.

Is anyone in any leagues with a team that has "(26er)" in its name? I've got two different leagues with teams that are called "Team Name (26er)," and the emails associated with them are different, so they're not the same person. My guess is it's a reference to an FFPC league?

Hunter came off at 4.11 as WR20, Henderson at 4.12 as RB10.

Then I spent *my* future 2026 1st and 3rd to buy 5.04 and I took Jonathan Taylor.

At 5.06 I tried to make adeal to move back or out (and came close) but ultimately stayed put and took my first QB with Jared Goff.

So thru 5 1/2 rounds I have:

Goff
Achane, Taylor
JSN
Bowers, Warren

and someone else's future 1st whose outlook I don't hate but I can see faltering.

Very interested to see how your QBs end up by waiting til the 5th.

The first rule of 26ers is you don't talk about 26ers

Egbuka went 6.03 as WR24, then Cam Ward as QB21 at 6.05

at 6.07 I took Jameson Williams (was torn over him and Flowers)

Judkins went 6.08 as RB16
Loveland 6.09 as TE7
Golden 7.04 as WR30
Kaleb Johnson at 7.09 as RB19
Burden III at 7.12 as WR35

I traded my 7.06 and 11.07 for a future 1st and 3rd (they took Chase Brown)

Milroe went at 8.05 as QB24
Sanders at 8.06 as QB25

I took Tua at 8.07 as QB26

FFPC draft rooms are open so you can see how they have the players ranked with the free agents mixed in.
I scoured thru all my leagues yesterday to make a list of notable FAs and I'm not impressed. Different than most years. There is really nobody I care about or that I even see others caring about.

Ekeler in a couple leagues but that isn't all that. I have sort of an asterisk next to his name because I think he can still play and hasn't signed with a team yet. I think he could be a good buy low right now (for one season) but that isn't really doing anything for me in dynasty. Just a redraft note really. Ekeler isn't taking over any backfields.

There are always a few interesting TEs that might peel off in the late 2nd early 3rd but that's about it.

Yeah, have Engram ranked at 2.2 , Diggs 2.8 and Ford 3.2. If Ford lasts until my 3.9 I'd be interested depending on what Browns do at RB and who else falls there

dang, none of those guys are in any of mine
Or mine and when I see Engram especially and maybe Diggs cut that tells me those people probably committed the mistake of cutting to soon when it was not necessary.

Totally plausible. I have him in one league and did indeed consider cutting him. I still have doubts he comes back strong enough to compete and almost wish the Patriots didn't decide to be the Patriots and I could have just cut him. Textbook roster clogger now possibly. Maybe he'll be a target hog for Maye. Totally plausible as well. Someone offers me 2.08 for him though? Shhhhhhit

FYI he is still under contract with Washington.
hmmm ok well I def believe you over my foggy memory of what I thought I saw. Listed as FA in picklist somewhere very recently I am sure of that much. I *thought* I heard him listed as a pending unsigned FA but dang ok. I've just been grabbing him in the 18th round of best balls and so forth is all.

Yes, don't really disagree and why I said "maybe" Diggs but I'd have thought you could fetch a pick worth taking for him once he signed.

Sometimes it seems impossible to move players that are older than 27. I certainly advertised him. I'd have to dig to see if he got moved anywhere. I can't recall.

What do you guys think of Mims? He's available in my other league and ranked at 32. Not sure if take him there but would with my third. I have Vele so would at least be an upgrade over him.

FWIW, In my $77 1QB TEP FFPC league (that admittedly has 1 super dominant team and has a some owner turnover each year) the top vets available are:
Stroud
Diggs
Ford
Braelen Allen
Strange
Hollywood Brown
Dowdle
Ferguson

I have 9 overall picks in this draft, picking from the 6 slot (blech) so I expect to sprinkle in a few vets along the way in the 3rd and beyond

Fannin 10.05 TE13

I took Stafford 10.07 QB30
Gidden 10.06 RB27

*reminder in FFPC startups no owner is allowed to come out of the startup with more than 3 QBs. Some years I have waited until the 20th round to pick my 3rd because it became mathematically impossible for my opponents to snipe me

I don't have a pick again until the 12th and it's just nothing too exciting from there that I can see, so I'll post the finished rookie list and my roster when it's done but here I am thru 10 rounds:

Goff, Stafford, Tua
Achane, Taylor
JSN, Jameson, Harris
Bowers, Warren

I have two opponents' 2026 1st rounders (& one of their 3rds) and my own 2026 2nd rounder. I don't hate either roster of those two but I can see both faltering for sure. Triflex is start 3 WR and so I feel that is just a glaring weakness big time for what I have built. But I also really like what I've done and I'll likely find some good vets that are still on the board. We'll see.

Tre is intruiging, but Higgins is the WR I planted my flag on. Love the Jameson pick tho ;)

Posted it in the Trades thread, probably should have just posted it here.

FPC, 1 qb (contender, 2nd last yr)

Just traded D. Henry for the 1.7 even though it destroys me at rb (only Hall\Mason now). It hurts, but I feel it was the best decision for the future of the team. I think I need a hug

Not sure I could do that if I had a chance of competing this year.

Still kicking myself for trading Henry to @barackdhouse in our SharkPool league. Totally set me back in that league after a strong start.

ETA: Ugh. Why did I go back and look? Not saying what I traded away for Kelce (who did end up lighting it up 2 years ago…but in the NFL playoffs which was too late for me)

I've seen them around in several lgs over the last several years and pretty sure there are at least a few different people. I could be wrong, but I seem to remember hearing it has to do with mountain biking and 26" rims.
That’s the only reference for 26er I know of but not sure what it has to do with FF. I’ve seen it on Twitter profiles as well.

I've come up with a couple ideas. I thought it might be an alcohol thing. Prohibition era Canadian bottles of booze were 26 fl oz, which is pretty close to 750ml that most use. I guess those bottles were referred to as 26ers.

There is a soccer team called the 26ers in Europe.
Wisconsin AAU boys basketball program are called the 26ers.
Bicycles with 26" wheels are 26ers.

Another idea is there is a 26" perpetual fantasy football trophy.

But I got no idea really.

I've seen some of them around and one was in a league of mine. Studdynasty26er. If it's who I remember he was a one and done in my league and he has a brother who is in another league of mine who does not use the 26'er moniker.

Signed up for my first FFPC dynasty league yesterday. Got an email at 4:44 MT that the draft order was out. Got a trade offer at 4:47. This is going to be fun 😎

Which pick did you get?
4.

Despite playing dynasty and keeper leagues forever, this is my first time ever doing an initial draft. Aways have taken an orphan team or been part of a 2-3 team dispersal draft. Looking forward to starting on an equal playing field.

Have played FFPC and before that WCOFF, but always redraft. Should be fun.

Is anyone in any leagues with a team that has "(26er)" in its name? I've got two different leagues with teams that are called "Team Name (26er)," and the emails associated with them are different, so they're not the same person. My guess is it's a reference to an FFPC league?

If it's who I remember he was a one and done in my league and he has a brother who is in another league of mine who does not use the 26'er moniker.

lol 26er just bailed from my league that I acquired Henry in. His team sucked and it’s been a goodbye message each of the last three years, but this year he bit the bullet. I always found him to be immature and unreasonable. His brother, Real Man of Genius, is an OG tho. One of the coolest dynasty players I’ve encountered. Dude kept a book for our league one year, running all kinds of spreads on this and that, facilitated a ton of action, and was awesome to work deals with to boot. He was like Red in Shawshank.

I’ll add their last name starts with “Stud” so it’s less douchey of a name than you might assume, except he leaned into it so it’s exactly as you might assume lol.

Yep, that's it.

26er took over an orphan team that had Breece Hall and tried to get me to give up a crapload for him. I had recently traded Tyreek for pick 1.2 with every intention of taking Gibbs and he kept asking for that pick plus a whole lot more. I ended up telling him I put value of 1.2 on par with Hall(this was before the NFL draft) and there is no way we'd ever agree on a trade so no need to keep trying. Then he moved to win now, traded for Tyreek, flamed out and left after one year.

RMOG is one of the best dynasty owners I've ever faced. I'm in a private rules FFPC league with him, $1K entry fee, and we had a really good owner who retired from fantasy(truly, not the cut back because this team is no good stuff) and he took over a loaded team but loaded or not he's won 4 straight championships. I've never done that, never had it done to me in a league, so I truly give him his props. If my math is correct for that $4k worth of entry fees he's earned $29K tax free the last 4 years.

One thing those brothers share is when I get a trade offer for them I don't wonder if it's lopsided in their favor, just a matter of how lopsided in their favor.

Haha this mf would also offer to the league ways to lessen his tax burden on cashing out. I’m a little blazed at the moment and can’t even remember how it would go, but suffice to say he was offering to trade short term cash pain for tax gains. As his name portrayed, a RMOG.

Also I found his opening offers to be a little stingy but felt he was ultimately very reasonable. I won plenty of deals with him and turned down a few I shoulda taken.

Signed up for my first FFPC dynasty league yesterday. Got an email at 4:44 MT that the draft order was out. Got a trade offer at 4:47. This is going to be fun 😎

As much as I’ve done startups recently (3 in the past 8-9 years) and enjoy the startup draft SO MUCH…
I’m just a freakin chicken when it comes to big trades during the start up draft. Especially the “this year for next year’s rookie picks” kind of moves. I have no gut instinct that what I’m being offered seems fair or not so I just fall back to “bird in the hand” and stand pat and pick the players that I have been targeting each round. Sure I’ll do smaller ‘pick swap, move up a little to get “my guy” in a certain round’ kind of trades. I guess I’m more of a Win Now kind of player and don’t wanna plan over the first 2-3 years to eventually field a dominant team.
