Meanwhile I’ve got pick 2 in 3 straight BB drafts. Went with Barkley in this latest one just to mix it up, but tbh if this was real money stakes I would not have.

In my gorillas, I've had 1, 2, 3 & 4 now. (Also 8 and 12)
One share of Bijan, one of Bowers, one of Barkley and now one Chase. I do love Barkley there though. Curiosity what's your hesitation with him? Not likely to repeat 2 years in a row?
Same concerns I had with CMC last year. 3-4 more games and over 100 touches then his previous career high. I can't bury him, but I'm fading him.
My draft picks with FFPC have mainly been polar opposite by contest. The BB tourney leagues I mainly draw nothing but early round one picks. I've done 4 Gorilla drafts and all 4 have been late, in fact out of those 4 drafts I have only two players who make up my first round picks in those 4 drafts (Lamb and Puka).
I don't mind any pick right now, that round one/two turn is sweet. What I hope to do, as I do most years, is have a good mix of picks.

Just curious.... Couldn't you just use the "create your own league" feature? Or doesn't that allow for $5 entries? I've never created my own league at FFPC before.
No options exist to create your own league for entries under $35 or for slow drafts.

We can email the FFPC support folks and they are willing to set up a custom league for us if we wanted to, but I probably wouldn't be the one to reach out and ask if we're only talking about $5 entries.

Yikes, that is a concerning list. Is that all of the 400+ touch seasons over that span or just the ones where guys took a step back? If it's all of them that is pretty darn concerning that RB15 is the best finish following a 400+ touch season since 2000.

Thought we were going to post start time in lg MB and it looks like i missed out; no biggy at all. Been doing plenty of drafts and don't usually do 5's anyway. But I will keep my eye out for the next one.

I copied and pasted from a twitter post from someone but my browser refreshed before I had a chance to note the author. Would absolutely be curious if there are some examples of RBs with that many touches who *did* repeat as a high RB1. IDK.
Derrick Henry came to mind. In 2019 he had 386 carries 1986 yards 18 TDs and followed up in 2020 with 396 / 2067 / 17
But he is going to be in the conversation if he isn't already for best of all time. That was 5 years ago and dude just put up 368 / 2191 / 19 last year. So I *guess* this cautionary tale post applies to him as well, but he isn't a guy I feel like betting against. I sort of feel the same with Barkley this year. But yeah it's scary.
I wonder about Adrian Peterson. He *sort* of dropped off from his 2nd to 3rd season going from 383/1843/12 to 365/1568 and *only* 21 TDs. ok nevermind not a drop off at all but 2nd to 3rd year he was still super young and a freak. and also one of the best. From 2012 to 2013 there was a bit of a dropoff that might be a cautionary tale. Huge dropoff after 2015 I assume it was a big injury I forget.

I'll say for me that my concern on Barkley goes past the touches and includes the extra games and his season not ending until mid February limiting his recovery time, but the touches are the major item.
So many things similar to CMC this time last year. Both surpassing career touches and games by 100+ and 3/4 respectively. Both playing into mid February reducing recovery/rest. Both 28. Both having had "celebratory" off-seasons and all that can go into that, with Barkley celebrating a SB and CMC celebrating a big wedding and banging Oliva Culpo on the daily. Most of this stuff is minor, except the touches, just a lot of concern for me when taken all together.

sorry bud, my bad. we were trying to hit a moving target. we said wednesday loosely but the trick is to find an empty room. I don't usually do $5s either but I'm down to keep these going. I'd prefer the $35 ones if we wanted to try for one but as for the $5 format we were looking at, right now on the website right now there is a room with 6/12 seats filled and so if we had stayed with wednesday as a locked in time, we might be sitting here right now waiting for quite some time until a fresh room opens up.

This one was fun, some mini-stacks. Jets and Bengals obv but also Chicago, TB, Indy and Buffalo combos. Had tried to get others like Mason Taylor, could have grabbed Elijah Moore instead of Palmer but got cute and thought he might come back to me. Also fun because the person in the 2 spot grabbed Baker Evans Godwin and White but my Egbuka/Otton/Tucker trio has some juice methinks as well. I sensed I sniped them with all 3, though they had the chance to reach before my picks, so. Probably the latest I've waited on TE in a while but I like it.

Probably not great. For $5 I want to see how far I can take a zero-RB build before it breaks. It's a part of why I draft earlier in the offseason. To find trends and potential values. And breaking points. This one might have gone past that point. I took Harvey at 5.01 mostly for fun after the Dobbins signing had just happened the day before. Higher stakes I probably go Kaleb Johnson in that spot. (I had gone Chase, Wilson, Tyreek, LaPorta in the first 4 rounds). I know Harvey will fall in ADP quite a bit but I figured I'd plant my flag for fun since he has been such a controversial player so far this offseason. But yeah otherwise I probably go Kaleb or Henderson there. I think the breaking point is/was possibly taking the Kelce/Mahomes combo at the 6/7 turn instead of either or both of Pacheco and Brian Robinson. But the Kelce/Mahomes stack was too fun to pass up as well. And honestly might be great value.
Still 7 rounds to go.

Did the HSFF show the other night and found out I was lucky enough to get a Pro v Joe invite! It is my first time and I am thrilled; will do my best not to let our tribe down!

Bummer, I don't do many MEs, but I had 1 ticket and planned to wait until August. Then I just decided what the heck I have a pretty good idea of current adp so why not do a slow draft and maybe get lucky with the drawing. When they announced they would be revealing the names I thought to myself maybe there is a chance (why else would they want a chucker like me on the show!). But when he listed the names I wasn't one of them and I thought oh well; then he surprises me, swweeet! As for the show I had done it once before a couple of years ago and I was dreadful. This time I think I was a little better prepared and not as nervous and I think I did a little better.

Only 2 more Early Rampage leagues left. I am about to do my 4th
Just means I chose prize option of a Main Event entry.
So I ended up jumping in this one which makes it just the second SF I've done, in like ever.
SF is definitely a difference experience and I might not have the required type of draft strategy figured out but I must admit it's kind of refreshingly new and in particular the first few rounds and different ways you can build your team feels almost liberating vs more of the cookie cutter standard leagues.
Anyway here was my first ever SF team, SF related criticism welcome:
