FFPC Mock Draft (1 Viewer)

7.10 - Russell Wilson..........was glad to see him fall this far..and yet, there were still other great values at QB even later in this draft.......It just reinforces that it pays to wait this year given the depth of quality at the position.

8.03 - Giovanni Bernard - RB position has been fairly gutted.....however, I cant ignore getting a bye fill / flex play at the position any further .....IMO has a great opportunity in front of him. Time will tell.

====================

Wilson 7.10

Richardson 2.03

Bell 4.10

Bernard 8.03

Green 1.10

Cobb 3.10

Decker 6.03

Pitta 5.10

Well that 2 game suspension means he is available in the 8th instead of probably going in the 5th/6th. Full disclosure, I am a Browns fan - but don't think I am all that biased on Browns' player values.

I think there is a decent chance (say 40%-50%) that I would regret this pick. But the upside is huge with Gordon progressing in his 2nd year and having Norv as his OC. I think it is quite possible (say 25%-30%) he puts up top 15-20 ppg figures once he comes back. Looking at remaining WRs, I think he has the most upside without situation changing drastically and also a decent floor of boom bust WR3 on a PPG basis.

Ok .....so thru 10 ....I've got:

Wilson

T Rich

Bell

Bernard

Green

Cobb

Decker

Blackmon

Pitta

Pettigrew

Blackmon ar 9.10 was slightly better than FMV.

He becomes very solid bye week filler and quality insurance

in case Decker stats take a larger tumble than expected.

Pettigrew another solid flex starter in 1.5 ppr format.

Wild Thing says sorry. I'm 71 and I just missed it. Please give me Zac Stacy/Rams/RB if he is not gone. Thanks.

9.04 Martellus Bennett

Need some slight insurance for Gronk, but also someone who could have a big year in a new Bears' offense. Expect him to rack up a solid reception total, while being a major factor in redzone.

9.03 Owen DanielsWhen I drafted Jared Cook, I recognized that as a Boom/Bust pick. To cover my team I planned on taking a TE at the 8/9 turn. With being able to snag Stevie Johnson at the end of the 8th round. I really was pushed to draft a TE to provide stability if Cook bombs. The downside is that TE is a fairly strong position in the FPC scoring system. Through the first eight games of the 2012 season, Daniels was sitting at TE3 over all with 5-6 catches per game, yards and TDs. Around week 8, he was injured and the remainder of the season went down hill. If Daniels regains his 2012 early season form, he will vastly outperform his ADP position.

In consideration of other positions, with 4 WRs I was fairly well positioned and not in a need to draft a backup as of yet. RB is a key position of need as I only have my starters and no bye week fill-in. I recognized that by going TE here, I ran a risk of having a very poor option at RB. In looking forward at what could happen, I felt there was a greater risk of losing a critical TE starter in case Cook does not perform. For that reason, I went TE at this position vs. RB or WR.1.03 Calvin Johnson2.10 Alfred Morris3.03 Andre Johnson4.10 Stevan Ridley

7.03 Jared Cook

8.10 Steve Johnson

10.10 Mikel LeshoureHow is Mikel Leshoure available in the 10th round? No way do I see him falling this far in the real draft. With Bush joining DET, he's the hot commodity, but Leshoure will still be available and spelling him during the season. As a bye-week filler, he should get about 5-10 carries at least and probably goal line carries a bit as well. At this round, definitely needed a RB to start building my backup players. So in this round, I really planned on RB here to give me flexibility in the next round.1.03 Calvin Johnson2.10 Alfred Morris3.03 Andre Johnson4.10 Stevan Ridley

11.03 Bryce BrownBryce Brown should be gone by 9th round in FPC formats in my opinion. Due to the number of people that have bailed on this draft, I would say our draft is no longer of fantasy relevance, which is shame for those of us that were looking for a good mock. Anyway, for those that care, I will continue to post my rationale on players.

With Chip Kelley as the new HC in Philly, he has done some interesting things with the zone read offense. In Oregon, they rushed for a staggering 658 times in 2012. Recognizing that Lesean will have some and his QBs will have some, there are still plenty to go around. Bryce Brown will produce a solid RB3 this year in my thinking and if Shady is injured he automatically goes to a RB1 status. Fantastic upside and he should get plenty of carries making him a valued flex play if needed.1.03 Calvin Johnson2.10 Alfred Morris3.03 Andre Johnson4.10 Stevan Ridley

12.10 Emmanuel SandersWith the loss of Wallace, Sanders move to the big WR position. Antonio Brown had a down year and Sanders has a chance to potentially become the home run hitter in PIT, pending Ben stays healthy. The fact that PIT would not let Sanders goes to NE tells me that they are happy with his play and plan on using him in their offense. I think Sanders is a solid pick in the 12th round and has the ability to go vertical in the PIT offense.1.03 Calvin Johnson2.10 Alfred Morris3.03 Andre Johnson4.10 Stevan Ridley

I'm VERY satisfied with this team thru 13 picks.

QB--Ryan/6, Palmer/9

RB--Foster/8, MJD/9, Miller/MIA/6, Stacy/Rams/11

WR--Bowe/10, Austin/Rams/11, Boldin/9, Floyd/9

TE--Gonzalez/6, Housler/9, Myers/9

With the knowledge that I have today, I'd be happy to have this team in the FBGs league. It's strong at every position, plus there are solid bu's everywhere.
