Sure is frustrating trying to get a good price on everyone, I ended up with something like 20 transfer requests out a time waiting to see who I can afford. Fun though.Unless you pay for a takeover, I've found that your budgets don't go up all that much except to the extent that you can develop young players and bank more money. But I've played very little manager mode on 14. On 13, I cheated and bought the takeover while in League One with Sheffield United. I think I got 5 million or so in a league where 2 million is the normal upper limit. I used it to buy young high Championship/EPL reserve caliber players. From then on, I financed all my buys with guys I had developed.Slapdash said:Recently started a career with Wolverhampton. They seemed like a good team to use because there really is not anyone worth keeping around long term. You can start with a blank slate. I actually played the entire first season over the past week winning promotion/league on the last day and lost the FA cup final to Newcastle.
I took the initial budget and was able to request enough new funds to buy a young, high-potential player at each position while leaving the core starters intact. Here is what that lineup of acquisitions would look like:
Benzia -- Rafinha
Piazon Redmond
Mbaye Gabriel
L. Shaw - Luiz Eduardo - N. Ake - E. Hewitt
Cragno
Outside of Redmond, everyone has started growing pretty well.
I had a question about transfer funds. Do they accrue each year with winning competitions? Seems like my budget was little changed in the second seaon.
I think I could have done it without the cheat, but it would have probably taken at least one more season.
I think Fifa keeps yelling at me that Sebowski is using Wolves as well, curious what he had done with them.
