Wow, Really?
So let me get this straight. The Soccer governing body was being bribed to allocate Qatar as the 2020 2022 world cup. The U.S. was in the running to host it. Meaning U.S. players and fans will have to travel to Qatar for a month with all the other 32 qualifying nations to play the every 4 year tournament.
I could tell you off the top of my head that who's ever idea it was to have such a tournament right smack dab in the middle of two countries on the verge of war, was a stupid idea and had to be bribed to allow such a stupid and boneheaded thing to happen. So it should not surprise anyone that the U.S. was going to get to the bottom of it before we send thousands of our citizens to go and cheer on our players under the threat of death and terrorist attacks. I can't think of a better venue for ISIS to have 4 years to prepare to harm some of our most treasured athletes.
Glad the U.S. is digging into this obviously dangerous situation and who would allow such an event to be staged in perhaps the most unstable part of the world. Idiotic if you ask me. Why not just send two NFL teams to play a game in IRAQ in order to bring the Iraqis a taste of American Football. Or better yet, lets make it a round robbin and have another in Nigeria and tell Boka Haram the NFL cheerleaders are going to be there on a said date and time.
Re..tard..ed if you ask me. If the Cup doesn't get cancelled in Qatar that is 130 degrees during July and a major threat to our players security, our leaders as well as world soccer leaders should have their head examined.
Now you hear that Qatar is a slave state and the workers are being abused to build the stadiums to host the World cup. Seems to me a great opportunity to bribe a work crew to allow terrorists to set something up in the stadiums to hurt people. This has to be one of the dumbest ideas to come alone in some time. NO WAY would I allow the U.S. team to travel and live in Qatar for a soccer tournament in today's climate in the Middle east. Who knows how bad it will be by 2022. That is if the Middle East still exists and the state lines are still where they are by then.
