Is Finley droppable yet in standard leagues? I'm limited to 2 keepers, and I don't think finley in the 6th round is a candidate at this point.

Give your reason(s) to keep the almighty finley if you have any. I don't even think he will return for the fantasy playoffs.

One league he was dropped in last night's waiver run. Tonight he is going to be dropped in my other league's waiver run. Unless you are in a keeper league he is worthless. If you are in a keeper league he is worthless unless you don't have escalating contracts and you got him late.

I own him in one league and was lucky to grab Keller as my backup. Due to this I am holding out (it is a 12 team league where we can only start one TE, so there is usually a good plug and play guy if you need him). Most people grab a backup and drop him after said starter's bye), so when the Jets go on their bye, I will have a decision to make. Basically, I am holding out until I am forced to make a move, hoping that more info will come out (i.e. Finley progressing well or set backs in his progress). With that said, if a decent TE hits the WW, Finley is gone.

 
holding him for another week til following week byes force my hand. picked up shockey in the interim. anything solid reports in the 'out 7-8 weeks' + and he's next in line for the drop.

 
I have him in my IR slot, currently.

Fortunately, Heath Miller was a free agent, so I am not feeling so bad, right now. Big Ben is back, and so is Miller, hopefully!

Oh, Finley, you are this years Owen Daniels to me. Two years, two promising tight ends go down.

So, if you don't have the luxury of an IR to wait or, perhaps, are in a dynasty, I'd say he is dropable.

Dropped Finley in one of my smaller leagues for some WR depth (Steve Johnson). Heath is out there, but he has looked terrible thus far. Think Big Ben is gonna jump start his numbers?

Sucks, I had such high hopes for Finley. I tried to get him in all my drafts, but thankfully I was only able to get him in the one league.

 
First year keeper PPR double TE league (max on roster 3), dropped to pick up quarless in addition to make a deal for heath miller.

 
Why is there a thread for this? Obviously you should drop him. Finley owners are like sobbing ex-boyfriends, it's pathetic.

Im glad your authority on opinions that only you agree with.In keeper leagues he should be held on unless you need the roster slot. In Dynasty leagues he should be held on to or traded.This guy clearly hadn't drafted Finley and as such thinks he is clever, he is not.Bump Finley

This thread is obviously about redraft leagues. Do you ever see a thread started for a player who is injured asking if people have dropped them in keeper/dynasty leagues? No.Get over it people.
 
Haven't dropped him because my redraft league goes through the NFL playoffs as well. Probably won't drop him unless the Packers fall out of the race which isn't likely.

 
I have been away, so I feel like I am asking an obvious question, but is Finely officially ruled out for the regular season?

 
Not dropping him yet. Won't do it unless he lands on IR, which is a high probability, but not a definite. Of course, I have roster space to hold on to him, which helps. Keeper league: no chance he lands in the player pool. If he lands on IR then that's where he'll end up on my roster.

The decision to drop Finley revolves around each owners specific team strengths and league variables, so to condemn other folks for holding on to him right now is a bit capricious. I appreciate that you don't think he is worth holding on to for whatever reasons you feel that way, but nobody is saying that you are a fool for dropping him and there is no need to belittle folks who feel differently.

The only reason I haven't dropped him yet is that I haven't figured out who to replace him with. He was my TE1 (have Fasano) in a short bench, restricted position rule (e.g., max 4 RBs, max 2 QBs) league. There's quite a selection to choose from:

Brandon Pettigrew

Benjamin Watson

Tony Scheffler

Jermaine Gresham

Todd Heap

Quarles was snapped up right away and Moeaki was (unfortunately) already taken.

This.I don't actually own him in any leagues, but I'd only keep him at this point if it's a deep keeper (6+ keepers) or dynasty league, or if there was some sort of IR/DL roster exemption in your league.

I have yet to drop him, but own Pettigrew and I would be dropping him now if I wasn't already going to drop CAR. First time a player becomes available he's gone, but if I never get anybody and he comes back week 15...I may get to play him week 16 in the championship game.

Ugh...talk about some wishful thinking. I get more and more pissed that I wanted Gates in the THIRD ROUND and still got sniped.

Ditto. Though I actually added Moeaki earlier in the week and kept Finley, but when Finley went all Twitter, I dropped him for Pettigrew. Don't think he's been picked up in what is a pretty competitive league.
 
No. I'm limited to 7 free agent transactions all season and my other TE (Hernandez) had his bye. I don't see a reason to waste a move now even though I could have Moeaki. I was all set to trade Finley this week too...

 
just dropped him in my redraft league it pains me to say... especially as I traded for Finley 2 weeks ago. I gave up H. Nicks and M. clayton for him... 2 of the 3 are on ir lol geez.

 
CBS sportsline is reporting that Donald Lee has been upgraded to probable for this week. Just dropped Finley and picked him up for what it's worth.
