DAVIE, Fla. (Jan. 5, 2007) -- Add former Atlanta Falcons coach Jim Mora and Georgia Tech coach Chan Gailey to the growing list of coaches under consideration for the Miami Dolphins ' head job.
Mora met with the Dolphins Jan. 5. He went 26-22 in three seasons with Atlanta before he was fired Jan. 1.
Miami also got permission to talk to Gailey, a former offensive coordinator for the team. The Dolphins also planned to interview San Diego offensive coordinator Cam Cameron, Chicago Bears defensive coordinator Ron Rivera and Bears offensive coordinator Ron Turner.
The Dolphins seek a successor to Nick Saban, who took the job with Alabama on Jan. 3 after two seasons in Miami.
"We have a plan that is designed to ensure that we identify and talk to a broad and diverse pool of candidates for the head coaching position," Dolphins president Bryan Wiedmeier said.
He declined to discuss specific candidates. There's no timetable for choosing the new coach, he said.
