12-team NL only. $260 cap. Standard keeper rules I think. I kept McCann, Lopez and Murphy along with a few cheap pitchers.

I just trade H. Pence and G. Sheffield for R. Winn and B. Giles. Previous roster below. My reserve roster is filled with ML studs. I made the mistake of not researching MLB bench players and don't have many replacements in case of injury. Have Kuroda on the DL as well. How am I doing? Good team in this circumstance?

You got hosed pretty badly here. Pence is by far and away the most valuable player in this trade. Not only is he the most talented, but Giles and Winn are past their primes, whereas Pence is a young guy.

One thing I should have added it's a 4x4.Surprised you think I got hosed. Giles and Winn should get 1100+ ab's while Pence and Sheff are will probably tally around 850. I have to start Sheff at this point and I'm screwed on my reserve list as far as potential injury replacements. Giles and Winn are both .290+ hitters and Winn could get 30 steals this year. I probably lost a few HR's but gained AVG, RBI's and potentially a lot of sb's.Pence is obviously the best player. But Sheff is such a liability to start.

I don't think it's that bad a trade but 4x4 hurts a bit since Giles' best category is runs. That said, it clearly looks like you needed some ABs/counting stats and I think Sheff is toast, so I don't think it's a terrible trade.

The other team has to start Sheffield now. The league is pretty tight. Plus now I have two tradeable players instead of one if I need to move someone due to injury.

Really I think the trade helps on all fronts. Winn/Giles vs Pence/Sheffield is a plus in three categories and potentially four. Pence isn't the basestealer everyone makes him out to be. Pence will not crack 90rbi's in that lineup. He won't be in position too.

A 12-team NL only 4x4 with deep rosters is hard for some of us to wrap our brains around. Even leagues that most would consider deep have full-time players hanging around on the wire, so the idea of a trade being good because it got a part-timer out of your lineup is a foreign concept.

Given the circumstances, I guess it's probably a good trade for you. I hate giving up the best player in a deal early in the season though.

It seems to me that you are already set in your mind that this is a good trade so why ask other people's opinion? Especially if you are going to disagree with everyone of them? Looks like you were just fishing for a pat on the back.
