Five Guys thread, a 130+ page swordfight. (6 Viewers)

Hard to compare burgers with a place that mostly in just one city in the country.
they aren't a national chain yet, but are expanding.https://www.shakeshack.com/2012/01/02/locations/

Looks like they are in 11 US states plus the Middle East, Russia, Turkey, and the UK.

also, if you followed this thread at all, how could you have not heard of them? they've been discussed often.
Got one about 10 blocks from my house... I prefer 5G fries to Shake Shack, but not by much. Prefer both over INO and it isnt close.

For burgers Shake Shack wins over 5G.

In case you guys were wondering, there's a local burger place in Nashville with I think 3 locations. Better than all the places mentioned in here, #####es!

I was just saying to a buddy the other day, I wonder if Nashville has a great burger place...neither of us has ever been and dont plan on going...but I was curious, so thanks!

There's a pizza place that serves those giant potato wedges. Each wedge is like 1/6 of a whole potato. Eating them is worse than cleaning out raingutters.
Why would you buy fries at a pizza place? "Yeah, I'd like a large pepperoni pizza... and I just don't feel like that's going to be starchy enough."
Asked and answered.
Don't link to it. I enjoy the mystery.
You asked and answered.
Bread with stuff on it isn't starchy enough for you?
Apparently not. You've never had a burger and fries? Sandwich and chips? Pasta and bread?
I usually just eat mashed potatoes and handfuls of flour.

Went to 5G with my son last week. We walked in and got the familiar "2 In The Door!". My son yelled back... "5 Behind The Counter!"

Maybe it is VA/NC only, but I honestly don't recall the last time I ever heard that in a 5Gs. Definitely never happened in the couple near me now in Charlotte.

Sorry meant, it never happened to me in NC or VA.

Subway trip today: $11 with chips/soda and man, what a bland-az$ sandwich. Even with their "Southwest Chiplotle" sauce, it felt like I was eating nothing. Got their Monterey Chicken Melt, after being bombarded with "wow, our chicken is sooooo tasty" commercials. It was tender, but utterly flavorless.

Trying to eat semi-healthier, but I will not be going to Subway anymore. F you, Jared.

It's 2015 and you're just now realizing that Subway is bland.

Not much experience there. I've had their meatball subs a few times - which were actually somewhat decent in a pinch - but never really expanded out to the other choices. Figured if they were banging out all these chicken commercials that it'd be tasty. Nah.

Maybe eastern Michigan. They don't yell at us in Holland or Muskegon.

The yelling when you walk in the door definitely happens at five guys, depending on location or employees willingness to do it. Used to happen more frequently in my experience.

Nah. I'm pretty sure everyone, including fast food workers, hate me. My wife tells me so every morning.
