Oh these annoying TV Characters usually have comedy/acting chops ahead of time - same is true of Lily and Jan from their respective ads. A steady gig paying well is tough to pass up.

I've actually shopped for car insurance a few times in the past few years to try to lower our rate, and absolutely excluded them for the same reason.
