For those that DO NOT do their own projections... (1 Viewer)

I posted something similar in the application forum but haven't gotten any responses.

How do you utilize the projections of the FBGs within the Projection Dominator? Do you leave it as 100% Dodds? Or is there a "sweet spot" of weighting that you've found to be effective?

If this is the wrong forum. Please remove. Just figured it would get more action here.

Since I've done no analysis of whose projections are historically "better", I figure I might as well just equally weight all the projections, and I even mix in 10% of last year's stats just for fun. It's all a giant, educated guess by all those guys, with a healthy dose of luck and avoiding the injury bug, so my thinking is that it probably doesn't matter too much. The funny thing is that you'll always end up with guys on your team who are ranked higher on your cheat sheet since, heck, it's YOUR chest sheet, so of course you've picked the guys who are higher. Works like that every year, right? :)

I take that mix of projections, print out the resulting rankings, and end up moving guys up or down a little on my final list anyway to get guys I'll be happy with and feel pretty confident drafting.

That's definitely how I'm leaning. And on most players they're very similar.

I just didn't know if there was any data on whom was the most accurate.

I Isr David's projections and tweak ten mostly by looking at relative expectations. For example, I think mark Ingram and Donald brown will have similar seasons. Does that mean David has Ingram too low or brown too high? I tweak it, see where they land relative to Ridley and Greene, etc, and tweak some more. I basically modify the projections to fit my rankings but lean heavily on David's work as a starting point.

Are you not paying attention? "Sharks" don't use projections at all. AT ALL. They use psychics. Or dowsing rods. Or a taste test or something. Apparently one of them flips coins and the other one sprinkles pan ashes over fantasy magazine rankings and sees where the biggest clumps land. Or something.
