Originally a 12th-round pick of the Los Angeles Rams in 1979, Hill was best known for being one of Warren Moon's frequent targets while playing in the Houston Oilers' "Run & Shoot" offense from 1985 to '91."I'm shocked," Moon told the Houston Chronicle. "I can't believe it. Drew meant so much to us as a player and as a person. I counted on him so much. He was the consummate professional. It's just so sad."Overall in his career, Hill had 634 receptions for 9,831 yards and 60 touchdowns.Hill was a record-setting wideout at Georgia Tech before turning pro.He was a native of Newman, Ga.
