I agree with him wholeheartedly. I think people place WAY too much emphasis on players being drafted when projecting what will happen next season. Hope turns into fantasy more often than not with the average fan.All this said, time will tell. If Seattle passes on Spiller in the first Thursday I believe its a ringing endorsement for Forsett. I don't see Jones as being a guy that the new regime will learn on. However, if Seattle takes a stab at Spiller/Mathews/Best it will certainly cut into Forsett's opportunities to establish himself. It's crazy, and my timing is terrible, but I am more excited for the second year of Aaron Curry, the second year of Max Unger, the sixth year of Chris Spencer, the third year of John Carlson, the third year and hopefully first year starting for Justin Forsett -- the guys that were once prospects but graduated to something more interesting, exciting and important. You know, real NFL players and not fantasies.
Full Disclosure - Forsett owner in an IDP dynasty league -I'm crossing my fingers and toes that Seattle doesn't draft one of the "premium" prospects this week. I think Forsett has game and should get a shot at starting. Agree with Hooper31 that Jones is NOT the answer, so it's either Forsett headlining in 2010 with some other role players in for 6-10 touches a game or some sort of RBBC situation. Obviously, I would prefer the first option.I read this today from John Morgan at Fieldgulls.

Regardless, there are about three or four steps that need to fall into place for Forsett to get a chance to start this coming season. Getting through the draft without adding major competition for touches is just one of them.
Who says they are targeting a RB so early? And why do you believe them?i just dont see why SEA is targeting a RB so early anyway...
just about every mock ive seen has seattle taking spiller... and i have no idea why.Who says they are targeting a RB so early? And why do you believe them?i just dont see why SEA is targeting a RB so early anyway...
And how often are the mock right because every year they are off yet people still use them to believe where a player is going. What if Miami or another teams takes Spiller will Seattle just take any rb to say they got on or wait and take one later. I think when your adding a player or want to add a player don't use mocks to talk yourself out of it.just about every mock ive seen has seattle taking spiller... and i have no idea why.Who says they are targeting a RB so early? That makes more sense. When I read "Seattle is..." I somehow took it to mean that you had information that indicated you knew what their intentions were for the draft. Is this a better read on what you were intended to convey?..... "i just dont see why ALL THE MOCK DRAFTS ARE targeting a RB for SEA so early anyway...I believe part of the rationale there is that they simply don't have very many RBs on the roster at the moment and people expect them to add RB or two through the draft. The same can be said for their OL. They barely had enough to run drills during their first OTA last week.just about every mock ive seen has seattle taking spiller... and i have no idea why.Who says they are targeting a RB so early? I think they pluck J. McKnight in round 2.If they were interested in a RB in the first, I'd think they'd opt for one of the bigger backs to pair with Forsett.
they could trade for Lynch or draft a guy like Hardesty.I think they pluck J. McKnight in round 2.If they were interested in a RB in the first, I'd think they'd opt for one of the bigger backs to pair with Forsett.
I just feel like they're after a larger, chain-moving type back. No one their roster is really a short-yardage type. Carroll has said he wants a physical presence at RB, and has indicated that he wants to spread carries around. At #60 (2.28), there are a few candidates available: Dixon, Gerhart, Hardesty. I doubt Dwyer drops. Blount would be available later than the 2nd and has a tie to the NW, but the 'Hawks don't subsequently pick until 104 (4.06). Are they willing to wait on RB when they still need DL help? I'd like to see them wind up with Daniel Te'o-Nesheim, but 60 might be too high for him.I think they pluck J. Lynch started ahead of Forsett at Cal and played a lot better than Justin.I would think only Lynch "could" hurt Forsett's value![]()
I have to think Dwyer is high on the Sea board tomorrow; the only team that would be considering an RB is the Bucs.So who is left to pair with Forsett?RookieswyerDixonVets:LynchLendaleRedskins RBI would think only Lynch "could" hurt Forsett's value

If they don't take Dwyer, they may wait and grab someone like Blount, Dixon, Stafon Johnson, McKnight. Still lots of choices out there for them IMO. Last I heard he is, but now that BUF has drafted Spiller, it has ruined their bargaining power. He's supposedly not on the trade block, but McGahee is a possibility.dmac37 said:So who is left to pair with Forsett?RookieswyerDixonVets:LynchLendaleRedskins RBI would think only Lynch "could" hurt Forsett's value

One personnel director tells the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel that he's sure the Bills would be "willing to take whatever at this point" for Marshawn Lynch."They've got too many guys and they're trying to move him, but I don't know if there's much activity," said the executive. "He just doesn't want to be there. Just not a good situation." This is similar to a report from ESPN's Chris Mortensen, who tweeted earlier in the day that "Lynch has to be a goner ... Couldn't give him away is what I've been told." Seattle remains the most likely landing spot, but it doesn't sound like they'd give up much for him.
I tend to agree. I don't see White as much of a threat.Forset looks even better now....Fatdale is so mediocore...goaline carries...yes...not much else though.Let the BS trades for Lendale begin. Start shopping him while you can...because that market will thin quite quick once the season starts rolling.
What about Leon? LOLI tend to agree. Yeah that certainly wasn't something I was hoping for...Leon Washington to Seattle.....Forsett down.
MUCH more of a threat. I think the Forsett hype engine just seized up.What about Leon? LOLI tend to agree. I mean fantasy points. Forsett more yards, LenWhale more TDs.Don't sell LenWhale short. In 2008, he and Chris Johnson had a good thing going. CJ had 250 carries for 1200 yards and 9 TDs, but LenWhale had nearly 800 yards on only 200 carries and 15 TDs. LenWhale COULD have contributed last year if Fisher would have given him a shot. But why would you when you have a weapon like CJ?
But, Forsett is no CJ, so I could see a similar duo of Forsett and LenWhale in 2010, much like the CJ and LenWhale duo of 2008. Maybe 50/35 split with Leon getting the other 15%?
LenWhale is not a burner, but he is a beast on the inside and a true TD vulture. I could actually see the two players end with similar stats.
Lendale is buy low IMO; who do you think Pete is going to stuff down everyone's throat.everyone keep up with the lenwhale jokes..........obviously u haven't seen him lately. it wasn't his weight or talent/play that kept him off the field last year. a guy going crazy for 2k and fitting perfectly with Vince Young talents is the reason Lendale wanted out. Lendale will resume his role in the White/Bush(Leon/Justin forsett) role. Lendale never lacked for talent...........he lacked effort/professionalsim
I would be shocked if Washington doesn't outscore Forsett. If Washington isn't healthy yet, that's one thing, but he is much more explosive than Forsett. Forsett's a nice player but Leon is a home run hitter and perfect to pair with White.I mean fantasy points. Forsett more yards, LenWhale more TDs.Don't sell LenWhale short. I'm a good friend of Justin's uncle, DeWayne. Trust me when I say Justin Forsett is the purest definition of a fantasy sleeper there is. He will be on all 3 of my fantasy teams... I guarantee it.Forsett is looking like a nice RB2, especially in PPR. He is better than people think. He topped Profootballfocus elusive rating and seems underrated. Watching highlights of him, I'm surprised by the power he brings. Check him out at 0.16 in this vid:
Justin Forsett
He brings alot to the table.
