To my admittedly untrained eye, Brad Jones looked about as bad as I've seen a ILB look in a long time.

Holding penalties aside, he was slow to fill, hesitant to initiate contact, couldn't shed, and looked downright afraid to make a tackle. Just bad, slow, and weak.

Am I off base? If not, how quick a hook do you expect McCarthy to have and who is the next man up?

Dominique Easley is not on the Pats injury report and is on the plane to Miami.

Is Chris Jones starting next to Wilfork or will Easley replace him?

Last i heard jones was still mia but maybe i'm not up to date

I think easley, vellano, and siliga would be the top suspects around wilfork with liberal subs in 90 degrEe heat

Edit: looking into it i see jones was limited in practice this week
Out: DL Michael Buchanan (ankle), DT Chris Jones (ankle)

What do you think about Akiem Hicks? What do you expect from him this season? Maybe Saints can use Akiem like Texans use Watt?

Is he pure NT, run blocker, or Saints can use him a lot in QB pressure?

I expect huge season from him. What is your opinion please :)

He had a terrible week 1 agreed. AJ Hawk is just as bad though. Better tackler but very slow and a major pass coverage liability. Jones can run and that's why he's in there.

GB's DL didn't help either, they're a bad run defense overall and have been for three years now.

Back to Jones - he has to tackle better. I think they'll give him a few games, they don't have a ton of options at LB. Of course, he may be injured after a few games anyways.. :2cents:

I've got him as well ,I'm hoping the quad injury was at least part of the problem he suffered it in the 3rd preseason and limped off the field. He was listed as probable and had some limited practice so it could easily had been a factor.

How do you see Cameron Wake doing this year? Everything I read said that he looked just as dominant last year as the one prior, but the end of year numbers just weren't there. Does he still have another big year left in him?
Wake tried to play through a mid-grade MCL sprain and wasn't the same after the first month of the season. I think he looked healthy this month.

I've had him just outside my elite tier for months and haven't seen anything to change my mind. Until I see him decline when healthy, I still think there's 45-10 upside.

Best guess on the Brad Jones situation? I'm torn between being optimistic that the quad injury (that has him inactive 10 days later) was primarily at fault for the awful night last thur. and worried that they're just looking for another option.

Hey Jene,

Brandon Marshall has been tearing it up in Trevethan's absence. It looks like he will be back after their week 4 bye. How is this situation going to play out?

Which one pls:

1. Alan Ball Jax - CB

2. Melvin White Car - CB

3. Shareece Wright SD - CB

4. Logan Ryan NE - CB

5. Robert Alford Atl - CB

6. Darius Slay Det - CB

7. Asa Jackson Bal - CB

8. Corey White NO - CB, and

9. Ron Parker KC - CB

Only one of them, thank you.
