Fragile Fred? (1 Viewer)

I am looking to target MJD in my ppr league. The owner is ready to just give him away. If Fred goes down MJD because a top ten back over night. I thought i heard something about his knee being banged up. Anyone have any info? MJD is a great buy low candidate!

He's as injury prone as any other player that suits up on Sunday. He bruised his knee last week but should return in Week 5 after the bye to his starting role.

i'm a jags fan and an MJD lover (not so much for fantasy).

as far as i know, freddy is healthy. the assumption that he'll get hurt could come true, but at this point, it's still just an assumption.

freddy has even looked better than MJD so far this season (which isn't saying much)

Just a FYI..."Fragile" Fred has missed 8 games the past 5 1/4 seasons.
The "Fragile" thing will never go away. It's a shame because a lot of that label came from Tom Coughlin listing Fred as questionable in games that there was no way Fred was going to play in to get a "competitive advantage". People began to veiw Fred as soft because week after week it appeared he had a shot at playing and never did. The truth is that there was no way Fred was going to be ready to play, but Tom wanted the other teams to have to consider that option. It drove fantasy owners nuts and it seems many of them hate Fred to this day because of it.

Any MJD owner who gives him away will regret it come playoff time when Fred is banged up from a full season of carries and MJD is still fresh

this explains it best. also one of the main reason that taylor can be had in the later rounds while still providing good production.

-biz-

Taylor is an 80 yards per game back with few catches.

His TD total is vultured from Greg Jones at the stripe and MJD as well.

Would I have him on my team - yes.

Would I pay lots to get him - no.

Unless that team needed to make a move in order to make the playoffs. Because MJD is snuffing some of those chances as we speak.

I have traded for MJD twice in the past couple days, but making the playoffs is not an issue for me in those leagues.

What did you give for MJD? I just got him for Caddy and I'm having some serious remorse .... :headbang:

Thats a push in my eyes. But I do find Drew to be a greater talent. I can understand the remorse.DWard and a TE.

SMorris.

If I had to start Morris, I would not have traded him for Drew.

But both were #3s. Would be kind of the same situation with Caddy.

If you add together Taylor and MJD's numbers for this year, you still don't get a top 10 back. Neither of them has a TD. MJD is also averaging just 3.0 ypc. This team is #26 in scoring and is probably not going to rise much from there. Taylor appears at least as healthy as MJD and is running more effectively.Don't get your hopes up.
