Frank Gore (1 Viewer)

What am I doing? I'm panicking. They're not giving him the ball, and are content to air the ball out 40+ times a game.
He got the ball plenty on the first few drives but didnt do anything with his carries. What I find strange is they arent calling any screen passes for him something they did a ton of last year. Clearly the Offensive Coordinator isnt doing a good job.

It's bad enough the 49ers suck and Gore is not getting his carries as a result of them always playing from behind. But they are not even throwing to him. What happened to all those screens they threw to him last year that he took for 10-20 yards a clip. I never thought I could say this, but I miss Norv Turner! At least he knew who the playmaker of the 49ers offense is. :excited:

The 49ers are horrible. I'd trade Gore for anything right now.

let's just say I traded steve smith straight up for him in a PPR league and I'm regretting THAT!!! Carr >> Smith/Dilfer.

The dsappearance of Gore from the passing game completely is the biggest problem IMO. Once SF fell way behind, Michael Robinson saw way too much time as the "3rd down back". Gore's supposed to be a complete back. He should at least stay in those situations. As has been said, throw him some screens.

:goodposting: That is the worst thing about it. Even the announcers brought it up as to why the Niners take him out on passing third downs.

This 49ers offense looks atrocious. Are Gore owners looking for RB help? Sitting tight? Is he a buy low?
I'm hoping against hope that both Nolan & Turner get fired simultaneously & Turner is immediately snapped up by the 49er's to resume offensive play calling duties.

Gore is hobbled. He'll recover. If you are in a dynasty league, you can't ignore Gore. He probably won't recover much this year. Next year he'll resume his stud RB abilities. The SF offense is to ####ed up this year to maintain much hope in Gore.

Hobbled or healthy, there's not much hope for Gore until Nolan & his OC pull their collective heads out of their collective butts & script up some real offensive game plans. Tough for Gore to do anything positive with the pathetic play calling that's been going on in 49er land so far this year.

I agree. I believe this year is a wash.

It may be too little too late, but benching him for ANYONE else is probably a good idea.
mmm yeah i dont think so. Hes still a better RB option then a ton of RBs out there.
Maybe WW rbs sure.. But I think I will be starting LenDale White over him from here on out. Gore has done very little all year.
It's funny. Lendale White looked trim today, and Frank Gore is starting to look like how Lendale did when he put on his weight.

like what? I've got a Gore owner who has openly said he wants to trade him.

As a Gore owner in two leagues the high school-play calling is killing my teams. If I have anyone performing better I'm starting them especially considering he twisted another ankle today. I'm also picking up Hicks hoping the 49ers rest Gore to let his ankles get better.

I was happy as hell that he fell to me at # 5 :lmao:  :pickle: , but it's been a HUGE DISSAPOINTMENT ever since :yucky:

It's a horrible situation in SF.

I'm sleeping like a baby. I wake up in the middle of the night, start crying, go back to sleep, wake up again, cry some more.Trying a few trades but in this particularly league I haven't found anything worth trading for so...hoping for a miracle.

Hoping Maroney can find some paydirt. Mind you wishing for that is like wishing Gore would stop ending up on an injury report. I got ADP as #1 and just picked up Robinson anyways. I dont see him doing much even if he does see the field.

Traded him away in my dynasty league for 2 1st rounders next season (although they are likely between 9 - 16th overall picks, so not as high as I'd like), Trent Cole (#4 DL in dynasty in my league) and a 2nd rounder (likely 20 - 22nd overall).

Then flipped one of the 1sts and the 2nd for Plax Burress....who got me 14 yards yesterday and made me want to throw rocks at my TV.

Turner is not getting fired, that team is very good right now, he righted that ship. They are better than any NFC team and they are 3rd best at the most in AFC. I know the Cowboys are good, but they are not as good as chargers right now!

That is the exact problem, there is a ton of guys to trade for that are doing better than Gore, and you could get them. But, the problem is that you either have him in Dynasty and know what he has done in the past, or you spent a top 5 pick to get him in redraft and now you are supposed to put the ego aside and take someone who is not as big a household name (White and Mason) for him. Very tough to do, but you would be reaping benefits if you would have made that trade. That is just one example, but I am sure I could come up with a bunch of scenarios where you should trade Gore, but there is always that voice in the back of your head saying, "He is going to turn it around, he is going to be involved in passing game, etc), well unless Nolan takes the OC to the back of the woodshed this week, that is not going to happen

 Cant believe the outrage in my league 2 weeks ago when I traded Portis & Berrian for Gore. I mean there was cursing, fighting, and somebody even decided to leave my league over this trade.

I just offered a POed Gore owner Edge, Dallas Clark and Ike Hilliard for Gore, Tony G and Coles. Hopefully he takes it.

I'll keep rolling Gore out as my RB3 after this week and temper my expectations. I have McGahee and KJones to carry the load. The downside is that now my RB1 (Gore) and my WR1 (Smith) are killing my team. I think it's getting closer to the time where one of these two needs to be traded away.

Not high on Gore. I had an offer last week to acquire him, Donte Stallworth and Lee Evans for Shaun Alexander, Marvin Harrison and Hines Ward. Turned it down and instead traded Harrison straight up for Edgerrin James. Much higher on James for the rest of the year than Gore.

right before gore's bye week i traded away brandon jacobs and steve smith for gore, thinking he'd be tough down the stretch.... so far, i'm really regretting it...

Playing him, and hoping for the best. He really isn't doing THAT bad this year. Just not as well as expected. His schedule continues to get better, and hopefully the offense will get it going. He has had several games where his all purpose yards were over 100.

Gore = NEEDS MORE DANG CARRIES

49ers 2-0 when he gets 18+ carries, 0-5 when he don't......

GIVE HIM THE DAMN BALL!!!!

I want to call Nolan every name in the book, seriously. :loco:

:loco: I still think he's a top 5 RB talent-wise. Imagine what he would do if he played for Indy....

I'm actually trying to trade for him in one league, as his playoff schedule is very sweet, and I have the playoffs wrapped up. I'm offering Witten and Chatman for Gore and Cooley. I have Gates = I will never sit him; and have ADP, Portis, S-Jax and Graham at RB. If Gore sits on my bench the rest of the way, I have lost nothing other than a couple of players that would be sitting where he is anyway. The season is only half way through = too late to pull the plug on a player that has shown he can produce.

How would you frustrated Gore owners feel about a Shaun Alexander for Gore offer?

ETA: redraft

I am looking at trading for Gore. I admit to not having seen him play much this year, but do see the 9er playoff schedule being pretty favorable.

Question - I know he came into the game gimpy, and have read that he injured an ankle during the game. Was it the same ankle? And did he look like he could have returned if the game were closer?

I tried it and the Gore owner said no way - wanted Harrison for Stallworth as part of the deal. If Gore's ankle turns out to be bad, though, then all bets are off.
