Frank Gore (1 Viewer)

Looks like another good matchup for Gore......

to rush for about 50 yards. I would only start Gore as a RB3.

Gore's had 'good matchups' all year long. 30-some yards at home.....vs. the Rams. Nothing vs. the Aints previously.

With the news that Selvin and Travis are out, I am starting A. Hall over Gore. You heard it right. I am sick of this guy. Also, ARZ is great against the run. Even when Portis "went off" he had 43 yards rushing a 2 short TDs. Kevin Jones had -4 yards rushing and last week the CIN running game was awful.

Gore has been so dissapointing. This is the week he finds the bench.

As I've said before, Gore is one of those rare healthy First Round picks that rides the pine regularily. Such a bust.

Parker, Alexander, K.Jones did nothing @ AZ. With XXXXXXXXXX times better supporting casts.

Outside of a D'Angelo Williams 75 yard run at the end of the game there (after a Rattay INT that really deflated the entire team after attempting to drive to tie the game), the AZ run D has been outstanding at home.

I wanted to bench him this week.. I've started him WEEK after WEEK being disappointed, then falling for all the "Gore is a great RB, he has a good matchup this week, don't be the dummy to bench him" and watching others on my bench do better...

I thought, "THIS is the week I have finally learned my lesson.. I'll start ANYONE over him.. Jacobs sits, Young sits, Chatman most likely sitting..

SCREW YOU FRANK GORE!!! YOU BETTER SCORE A DAMN TD THIS WEEK! stupid scrub.

I know, I know..

 :ptts:

Sitting him for K.Smith - this just sucks.
To me that's a no brainer though. Definitely more of a chance of Kolby doing well vs the Raiders than Gore vs Arizona.Hang onto to Gore; they're supposedly revamping their offense. **crosses fingers**
The problem is that Dilfer is pure trash so there is no threat to pass. Smith is no better and the WR suck. They need a full blown overhaul of the coaching staff and offense. Nothing less will put Gore back to stud status. They should be in the Derek Anderson bidding war at the end of the season.

unbelievable. I will NEVER start L.White again. Never started that POS all year, and then today I bench Gore for him? WOW, I just kicked myself in the nuts.

I ended up starting L.White & Gore due to no other options.. Had I had other options, I would have benched Gore in a heartbeat.. He has done very little up until this game. Hard to call this one.

Traded Gore a couple weeks back.

Playing against him today. ####, ####, ####.

 :hot:  ;)

ive played GORE every single week throughout this slump. and today i benched him for Ron Dayne. Figures thats how things happen. good thing I still won. but its just the luck of benching him for the 200 total yard 2 td performance

Wow ...just wow. I am so glad that he is getting an opportunity to perform. SF O is not good - but is there any doubt now that the offensive scheme was the major contributor to Gore's performance this year?

Gore on my bench today but glad to see him coming around.... This is why I traded for him when his owner in my league was frustrated with him... I need Parker to have a decent day or I will be bummed the points are on the bench but could be worse.

I definitely didn't expect this. AZ had looked stout against the run at home.

Like many, first time I've benched a healthy Gore all season. Luckly got away with it this week.

Yep, me, too. K Smith got the start (should have sat Portis, whtcha goinna do?). But the real question is- Is this the beginning of a new trend? Did the coaching/philosophical change work, or is this a one game deal?

SF hired Ted Tollner as an offensive assistant to help Hostler out with the game plans...

Hostler should never have been hired as offensive coordinator to begin with, however at least someone somewhere is admitting that he wasn't quite ready for the job and giving him someone with experience to do his job.

Gore and the rest of the offense have been frustrated not so much with each other but with the crappy gameplans and playcalls, and it seems today that Tollner has already made an impact.

This bodes well for Gore and the SF offense the rest of the year, particularly if/when Alex Smith gets back. If Dilfer can put up almost 3 bills and Gore can break 100 against a pretty decent Cardinals D, it shows what this offense has been capable of all year.

They've just been held back by an inexperienced and overwhelmed noob OC.

happy to see him involved in the passing game again. could have been a truly huge day, but they didn't go to him on the goalline very much despite having a lot of downs there.

I'm waiting another week on Gore. I've got enough options and a week 14 bye locked up. I'm not disappointed with Westy and Kolby over Gore today. If Gore can light it up one more time (even a 75, TD type game) I'll be happy.

shoot after today, i don't WANT Alex Smith back. Let Dilfer dump off those dozen passes to Gore. That's gold in PPR leagues!

I've started him every single week except the week he was injured and I'm 9-3 and scored the most points 4 of the last 5 weeks. I've won despite him and now it looks like the 9ers have won because of him thanks to better play calling. With those WR's why not put it in the hands of Frank the Tank and let him punish some guys in the secondary along with the linemen and linebackers on runs? Gore took a bad team on the road, carried them on his back and just about won the game on his own. I don't like the Vikes week 14 but Cin and TB weeks 15 and 16 look pretty good...Even if the Vikes shut down the run if they dump a bunch of passes to him he could still ahve a rock solid game....

How is it guys like this clown (Hostler) get NFL jobs when 1 guy (Tollner) can come in, say something like, 'hey boneheads, look how Frank was used last year in the passing game', 'That's what we are going to do today'.? Hostler should just go away in shame and Tollner should take over. That much is obvious. It was either that or you jinxes that finally gave up on Gore and set him free so that us great coaches could benefit.

Never any doubt in my mind, but for those who maybe thought Gore was just a flash in the pan, this should erase those doubts.

For the life of me, I never could figure out why Hostler insisted on underutilizing one of his best offensive weapons & continuously came up with simply brutal game plans. Amazing what difference some fresh ideas at the OC level can make, isn't it?

Not only amazing but embarrassing for the organization. How can someone be given the responsibility of OC and have absolutely no clue what so ever. There is no doubt that Tollner came in and simply said, 'hey idiot, look at how Gore was used last year.' 10 straight games of ineptitude corrected by someone brought in game 11. Why is the noob OC even still employed????

;) I can't believe it took this long to figure it out. Get him the ball, anyway possible.
