In general, there are a lot of teams who be playing their starters in next week, but won’t. Any new qb starter should be playing to get the timing down, you don’t get that in scrimmages.

Bears backfield looking like a mystery right now. No Swift, no Roschon, no Monongai. Just avoid if you don't draft Swift???
Yeah what’s the deal with their RB usage tonight? Just trying to make sure nobody important gets hurt?
I came here to post this. Don't usually see that. Full starter usage at QB/WR/TE for a dozen or so plays. But all the relevant RB's sat it out.
It was weird enough that with the Brian Robinson trade news and report he won't play tonight because of a potential deal, it had me wondering if the Bears were possibly a team in conversations about him. Perhaps Washington might want a RB back in the swap or the Bears were worried if one of their top 3 backs got hurt it could put them in a tought spot where Washington could squeeze a little more from them.

Good thinking.

Burrow looking a little off accuracy wise to me. Got bailed out by a PI, and Brown powering in, but Burrow had potential TD passes on both 1st and 3rd down, that he just missed by being behind, and not seeing an open Higgins in the back of the endzone.

This Bengals defense is looking great for the Bengals offensive players for fantasy

:rubshands:
Maybe Joe gets a record if Trey is traded.
Hopefully he doesn't feel like he needs to do too much, because that Lamar Jackson impression was painful and got Burrow hit by 3 guys that was 100% Burrow's fault.

Bengals D getting crushed by Commanders backups (3rd team?) too.

Can the camera man please film Laura’s interviews looking at her straight on camera and not her profile? That woman is way too gorgeous to only see part of her face 😍

Jaxon Dart looked really good on the Giants first drive...definitely sense an "it" factor with him...thought that was an excellent trade for the Giants when they did it...if it works out, they get their QB of the future while still getting Carter and not having to use their #1 next year...could really change that franchise.

How did Kaleb J. look? 5 for 23 and a catch.
Showed improvement, but he remains the 3rd RB. Saw his first carry after Warren and Gainwell left.
Pff now has Immediate fantasy football takeaways.

>>The Steelers use a surprising running back rotation: Jaylen Warren started the game, while Kenneth Gainwell played on third downs.

Most fantasy managers assumed that third-round rookie Kaleb Johnson would be the Steelers’ early-down back this season, while Warren played passing downs. The first two weeks of the preseason showed that Gainwell is clearly in their plans. He was the starter in the two preseason games, while Warren was among the veterans who had the day off.

The Steelers have had a pretty clear rotation in recent seasons. Najee Harris played on early downs and Warren played on third downs, serving as Harris’ backup on early downs. In this game, Warren played in Harris’s role, while Gainwell played in Warren’s role. Gainwell was a third-down back at times with the Philadelphia Eagles. Johnson took over on the third drive, while other players who started the game were still playing.

This is good news for Warren and Gainwell's fantasy value and bad news for Johnson. A combination of eight wide receivers and four tight ends either were resting starters or played on the first two drives. Johnson is the Steelers' only skill player who is expected to make the roster but didn’t play until the third drive. While we could reach some point of the season where Johnson is playing 50% of the team's offensive snaps, it seems like we are at least a few weeks away from that point. Before, the general thinking was that Warren wasn’t going to play more than 60% of the snaps, so Johnson would have a safe 40%. Now, he would need to beat out Warren for any early-down snaps. Anyone drafting Johnson should not expect him to be in their fantasy starting lineup this month.

On the flip side, Warren seems in store for double-digit carries early in the season, as well as a decent amount of work in the passing game. Gainwell is typically going undrafted in fantasy leagues. His upside isn’t all that high, but he could be a borderline fantasy starter in this role in larger leagues.<<

Looks like Sutton got a lot of work today. Im a little surprised they played him the whole half
Bo and Courtland played the first 3 series, punt, FG, TD. 4-83-1.

Last year, I dropped Sutton after a no target game. He proceeded to put up top 10 WR numbers in the next 10 games per FFI: 60 for 804 yards and 6 TDs.

I got him as a throw in in a deal I did early on in the season. Literally, a throw in to make the deal 'even'.

i'm all in on Sutton this year. easy click in the 4th round of a 12-team PPR

The Miami starting oline looking shaky versus the 2nd string Jax defense. 2 sacks on Tua in 2 series. Achane and Hill aren't dressed. Until RT Austin Jackson returns and LG Jonah Savaiinaea improves, Tua will have to throw fast ... good for Achane.

-Love it, whether it rolls this way thru the season, who knows but maybe Warren is very undervalued right now

Finally got around to watching Bears/Chiefs.

Man, did Mahomes look dialed in. I'm really thinking/worried that the way last season ended, has put a MASSIVE chip on his shoulder. He was basically perfect. The 8 of 13 is very misleading, he had pinpoint accuracy. Chiefs new look OL looked really good too. Rice looks fully healthy, he'd be a top-10 WR if not for looming suspension.

Thought Caleb was a mixed bag. Some dangerous throws that worked out for him. Odunze looked solid. OL (with no Thuney) played pretty well considering KC was playing their starters.

Not sure how anybody is surprised by Warren having the first crack at this. Analysts that expect a rookie to come in and win a "safe 40%" share are a gift to the rest of us that ignore them.

Another view from the cheap seats:
The Bears have a really nice backup quarterback
The Saints might be worse than the preseason expectations
The Giants may be better than the preseason expectations
Parsons needs to get out of Dallas
What's the over/under on how many games Matthew Stafford starts?
This new first down measurement thingy needs work,Al Michael's is right, networks may start taking a commercial break waiting for the result
I like the new kickoff rules

i tend to agree on Mahomes, but after being burned last year, i just.cant.click.it.

I pulled the trigger in a 6-point pass TD league and may do so again in another on Monday if the price is right.
