Frank Gore (1 Viewer)

still a valid topic...

I'm starting Adrian Peterson (the chicago version) against Washington over Gore this week. gore has the number one run defense in Minnesota.

this is the first week i'm considering benching him....it's so hard to because he gets all the carries and quite a few cathces out of the backfield and you enver know when the 49ers are going to be stopped on the one and he'll finally get that td...but i think this is the week to sit him

Gore is riding pine in favor of ............. Fred Jackson
Not so fast there...Lynch will be back most likely.Marshawn Lynch (ankle) returned to a full practice on Wednesday.

Lynch ran with the first-team offense, indicating the Bills hope to have him start or at least split action with Fred Jackson against Miami. The Buffalo News reports he limped slightly, but estimates it's 75 percent Lynch will play. Dec. 5 - 1:39 pm et

True, but wouldn't you agree that Gore's passing numbers have gone up the last two weeks? 5 or more catches each week. What is Minnesota's passing defense ranked? Last. Gore may be the best receiving weapon on the team. If they have any hope of winning they need to get a lot of dumps and screens to Gore. I for one am starting him in a PPR playoff game this weekend....

Thanks for sharing the news. The decision here is more towards the lack of confidence in Gore playing against a stout Minnesota team that is on a roll right now. Plus, with AD back in the mix I foresee the Vikings pounding the ball on Sunday and keeping T.O.P in their favor.

Gore gets the start vs Minnesota. once again expecting zero points. Of course last time I said that he went nuts.

 me too. In a non PPR he is a bad play. But he should put up ok stats in a PPR. Im hoping for 6 catches and a 100 total yds

I get to play Gore or Fargas this week as a #2 behind ADP. I am thinking that Minn could crush SF. Don't like the GB matchup, but I expect Fargas to get me a few more points than Gore.

Me too. It cost me a win this week and probably a spot in my league playoffs.NEVER BENCH YOUR STUDS!When will I ever learn? :lmao: :wall: :wall:
Eh.. I've been benching Steve Smith for weeks... had I plugged him in... i'd not make the playoffs. (have Gore in that same league, too)

You both make very valid points about the passing game, but Peterson had very solid passing numbers last week too.

I'm playing Gore with confidence, it's a home game and he runs hard...just need him to break off a long run. my other options are Fred Taylor and Chatman.

starting Gore with no confidence  only other option is Dayne and his rolled ankle against the Bucs. I do like that he's apparently a big part of the passing game again, so there's hope. There's also a slight glimmer of hope he can run on the Vikes since the last guy to successfully do so wasn't expected to do it either (Ryan Grant). Let's go Frankie!
