I figured there would be a thread on this but didn't see one on the first three pages and typing 'Gore' in the search box didn't show anything either. So if it's a Honda I apologize.

SAN FRANCISCO, CA - In this Thunder Valley Casino SportsFlash, Scott Reiss reports that 49ers Running Back Frank Gore will miss 2-3 weeks with an ankle strain and a hind foot sprain.

I think there hope he's ready after the bye week. Does anyone have any solid info on the healing time of a foot and ankle sprain?

I would think best case is he comes back after the bye and is given a full workload. (Coffee would have to bomb next 2 weeks)

Likely case, He comes back and gives up 20-25% carries to coffee.

Worst case is it takes longer to get back to a 100% Coffee tears it up the niners are winning and they wait it out for Gore to be 100%.

I not sure I see Gore going back to Super stud until Min week 8.

He'll be ready after the bye. 100%. If there's one thing I know about it's sprained ankles. This is not much more than a normal average sprain. The hind foot sprain is just a different ligament, but it causes pain to run through the middle of the foot so it's hard to bear weight on it. Same healing time. This is not a high ankle sprain.

So while Gore is out is Coffee the man?

Is there anyone else on the roster who might take goal line carries away from Coffee or is he a do it all kind of back?

The next few games seem like favorable games for him

Home against the Rams and Falcons then on the road at the Texans

Coffee is the guy and will stay the guy until Gore gets back unless he royally screws up. Robinson is nothing special.

From Rotoworld
Coffee's only backup is special teamer Michael Robinson after the team opted against promoting rookie Kory Sheets from the practice squad.

So is anyone moving Gore right now? I have had bad luck over the years waiting for players to come back from injuries. That combined with a couple other injuries, bye weeks and the fact that I am 1-2 has me looking for a trade. but so far the best offer has been T Jone / L Washington....

Has anyone had success in moving him? or what kind of offers are you getting?

Looks like Im gonna have to tough it out and hope for the best..
