Fred Jackson will start, C.J. Spiller looks ready to back him up

The Bills are healthier than expected at running back.

Fred Jackson, Buffalo’s starter who has been sidelined since Week One with a knee injury, will play today. He’ll be wearing a knee brace, but he’ll be in the starting lineup.

And C.J. Spiller, who was sensational in relief of Jackson, is expected to play today despite suffering a shoulder injury last week. The Bills haven’t officially announced yet that Spiller is playing, but they’re expected to confirm that he’s active within the next half hour.

With both Jackson and Spiller good to go, the Patriots will have their hands full in a very important AFC East matchup.

Bills plan to evenly split the workload between RBs C.J. Spiller and Fred Jackson.

I don't think its safe to start either one of them this week. May need to insert L. Moore or S. Holmes as a precaution.

Mentioned in the other thread, but I think Spiller may be more of a decoy. Different injuries, but Fred has had quite a bit more time to heal.

RT @salmaiorana #Bills RBs thoughts: Spiller decoy, contact limited. Jackson will start, but not full load. Choice will play some, too
