Free Agency during Fantasy Playoffs (1 Viewer)

In past years we locked rosters at the start of week 13 and didn't allow any moves. This year because we trimmed roster size we decided the free agency would remain open throughout the playoffs for the teams still playing. However we didn't set a method for determining the order of requests. So I'm posting a poll here to see how the sharks and hawks would handle it given a choice.

Choice 1: Worse to first based on win/loss with lowest total points being the tie breaker. This is our regular season method.

Choice 2: Base on seeding, worse seed gets first choice.

Choice 3: Random draw of all playoff teams.

Note, Choice 1 and 2 differ because we have 4 divisions and wildcards are seeded behind division winners regardless of record.

Bad idea to allow waivers during the playoffs.

You should dance with the ponies that got you there. The only exception is to have a rule in place that allows an owner to pickup someone when they are incapable of fielding a healthy lineup. ie. you start 2 RBs and due to injuries only 1RB is even playing the coming week, then a pickup would be allowed. And only until one of your original players is healthy again.

In redraft yes, I agree. It can only open the door to collusion. In dynasty though, that can be the best time to snatch up a guy or two that has upside for the future.We just keep it worst to first, based on week 13 (i.e. the order doesn't change as the playoffs go on).

I run 3 dynasty leagues and FA is open to all teams till the end of the season, so I agree for dynasty. but our rosters are so big there is no FAs to pick up at this time

Do many leagues actually do this? This seems rather absurd unless you are given huge benches for the playoffs.

This is irrelevant, it was voted on a while back and decided it would be allowed. It was because previously we ran 20 man rosters and cut down to 18 this year so most people are only carrying 1 kicker and 1 defense and many (as most around these parts do) have been playing match ups all year with defenses and even kickers. I don't expect a lot of moves, maybe a guy here and there.For the record I really dislike the injury pick up rule, given the way the teams play with the injury report when do you decide that a guy won't be able to play and allow the pick up ? Does he have to be on IR ?
