I think you got all the main ones.
Teams in need are the following (loosely organized by combination of situation and likelihood):
Packers - really need to get someone agreed
Falcons - Turner done, Quiz is a mediocre backup at best I think they like Quiz more than you do
Cowboys - Murray mediocre runner and injury prone, Felix gonei think they like Murray more than you do
Jets - might give Powell the reignsagreed, but with new coach who knows
Steelers - could settle for a Dwyer/Redman RBBCBlount!
Dolphins - might roll with a Miller/Thomas RBBCagreed
Bengals - I'd be looking to upgrade BJGE if I was thembet they don't
Colts - do they upgrade Brown/Ballard RBBC?they will go with ballard for sure
Broncos - Hillman pretty clearly seen as CoP, so do they roll with Moreno or 32 yr old McGahee?fox likes a stable of backs, i expect all except moreno to be back plus another decent name
Jaguars - MJD going to throw a fit again next year?who cares they will be terrible
Chiefs - will need someone to pair with JCmaybe new coach will give JC the carries he has always deserved
First, I'd like to add that I completely forgot Detroit. They should be placed around #3 or #4 on that list. Although you would probably have said they like LeShoure more than I do, but LeShoure looks like a guy who tore his achilles last year. No explosiveness. They need a real RB there. 3.8 ypc is not getting it done. But maybe he just needs another year to get back. I wouldn't chance it if it was up to me.But to your comments:
Atl- if they like Quiz so much then why aren't they unleashing his 3.9 ypc ability in the wake of Turner's 3.7 ypc season? Quiz was overhyped like crazy here and I guess it is still lingering. The guy isn't good.
I think there's a bit of a nod of respect to Turner still, and the team is winning, so that's why he continues to get most carries. I agree that Quiz has a lot of question marks, but I think the coaching staff is high on him and his role will continue to grow into next year.
Dal- You might be right that they like Murray, but they'll definitely replace Felix with someone. And at some point they'll stumble upon the fact that whoever they brought in is better than Murray as a runner. Of course that depends on who they bring in, but anybody can run for 4.1 ypc in that offense.
Felix will be replaced for sure, but Murray will remain #1
Cin- Cincy is a fringe playoff team. You really don't think they'll look to upgrade or
at least supplement BJGE?? I think DeAngelo would be a nice guy to pair up with him.
Supplement, perhaps. Upgrade, no, unless there is a coaching change
Ind- I think you're a bit strong with the "Ballard for sure" thing. Guy had one good game and it was last week. Let that simmer for a week and get back to me. No one can know for sure, but I suspect he's merely an average back at best. Brown is more explosive and will be motivated during a contract year. They are both relatively cheap. I'd at least bring in competition and/or Brown's eventual replacement if I were mgmt.
Ballard's had more than one good game, he's shown well and is a rookie with plenty of upside. I suspect all of Indy's moves in the offseason will go into their o-line.
Den- how do you figure Moreno is gone? He's going to be almost a million dollars cheaper than McGahee, I think he's 6-7 years younger, and he's looking pretty good in his 2013 audition so far. I think Manning has found his new Addai. Wouldn't shock me to see Fox bring in DeAngelo if/when he's cut, though. I think McGahee is gone.
Talk about making assumptions based on a small sample size. Moreno wasn't even active most of this year, he was on his way out until Willis went down. He's done well and should be applauded for doing so, but I don't think he's kept his spot in DEN and he hasn't erased his entire career of suck with a couple of good games. I think Hillman is a bigger part of the O next year, McGahee is back plus someone else. I like your DeAngleo suggestion here more than Cincy, plus the Fox angle makes sense.
Jax/KC - I agree. That's why I listed them last.
