Friday Night Football? (1 Viewer)

I understand the reasoning with games being on Thursday being that it is taboo to use Friday (high school football) and Saturday (college football)

but how many high school games are still being played now?

I know in Tennessee we were done 11/30/2012

I wonder if NFLN would consider moving to Fridays in December?

my other hope is that they start making a schedule where two bye week teams are the next Thursday game. The NFL can make that work if they want I think it is the most fair way to do it with the recuperation that NFL players need between games

how many times this year has a player been held out because Mon/Tue/Wed just wasn't enough time for their bodies?

I could be wrong but I think Friday nights are horrible ratings nights in general and not a target of advertisers - that would stop the NFL more than High School.

On the bye week suggestion - stop with the nonsense, the schedule isn't supposed to make sense nor should the league worry about putting out the best product

thanks pacman, i didnt even know that about Friday ratings

makes sense as i guess, with work and church, Saturdays would be the only "sleep late" day and so Friday night is the "going out on the town" and not big for TV

well maybe they could move the game to Saturdays after lunch in December since college football is over

Week 16 is a Saturday night game instead of Thursday. I may be thinking wrong, but wasn't there a time when there were Saturday games in December (besides the playoffs)?

Back to Friday - I would prefer that. Then we could all DVR the game and get up Saturday, forward thru the commercials and watch the game without knowing what happened. I can't do that with a Thursday game because by the time I could watch (Friday night/Saturday early), I already know what happened.
