Future Odds 2010 (1 Viewer)

Good value on the Dbacks. If they ever could get into the post-season they have a pitching staff that could control a series, with a healthy Webb of course.

The funniest part about this is the ordering of the teams. It is like they listed all of the teams they could think of in alphabetical order and then someone said "oh crap, we forgot Pittsburgh, Baltimore, and KC". Eh, just throw them onto the end.

Mets and Cubs at +2500 :lmao:

edit: Wait, the Cubs are at 2000. :lmao:
I am sure those are two teams that Vegas has no trouble getting bets on so stretching their odds to far would be damaging if a miracle the impossible happened.
That was not needed my friend.
sorry GB, just bored today... I'm not exactly printing WS tickets for my team either.
But assuming its the Reds. I think they are right with the Cubs in teams that possibly could push towards a 90 win season if things fall right. Both could be below 500, but I see the pieces for success.

I would agree and we are probably battling each other for 2nd. If the Cardinals slip up, all bets are off. I highly doubt that the WC is coming out of the central though so we all need STL to fade back a bit for it to matter. Nobody is going to go win 100 games and take it from them.I think the Reds have a little more unpredictability to them though. They once again have a high ceiling and pretty low floor for this season. Like a lot of other teams, they need a fast start.

I'm not a Cub fan, but those odds are good value, IMO.
i wouldnt take those odds unless it was to win the Central.
Don't see that happening either.
I think it is possible to make the playoffs. Zambrano, Dempster, Lilly, Wells, Marshall could be a above average pitching staff.Marmol could be an elite closer and Guzman could be an elite setup.Soto and Soriano could rebound.Lee and Ramirez could stay healthy.Byrd could be a a very good hitter.I don't expect all of it happen, but i do think they all could possibly happen and cause the Cubs to win 90+ games.

All the "could"s are why I have no confidence. I have a little hope but no expectation.

With all the Mariner love going on with this board, I thought about putting something down on them, but I saw they were only 10 to 1 @ Ballys. Conversely, the Brewers were 40 to 1.

MLB : World Series 2010 To Win Moneyline 112 Los Angeles Angels +1400 113 Los Angeles Dodgers +1400 Betus.com
Thought this was interesting that the Dodgers and Angels are lined at the same odds.I know SF is the popular pick this year in the west, but the Dodgers are still pretty good. Their rotation could use some work, but if they get a break out year from a guy like McDonald, and Padilla can get you 170 or so serviceable innings, this team should be in the hunt to win the west. Manny shouldn't be out 50 games on suspension, Ethier, Kemp, MArtin, Loney are still all young guys that should be good. Blake and Furcal may take steps back, but I think the Dodgers offense and bullpen are way, way ahead of the Giants.

I havent heard anyone pick the Giants. Generally the Dodgers or maybe the Rockies, even the DBacks, but not the Giants. Giants could very well have the worst offense and infield defense in MLB.
