G-Men and Brownies - What are You watching for? (1 Viewer)

What are some of the things you guys are going to be looking for tonight?

For me - how bad will the Brownies new Unis look, will Dontae Stallworth look worthy of being a #2 WR, and what role if any Cribbs will have.

For the Giants - Kevin Boss and the RBs :)

I doubt I'll be able to tell anything from tonight's game, but I'd like to see how Anderson plays relative to Quinn. If I thought Anderson would keep the starting QB job all year, I'd feel much better about him, Edwards and Winslow. If not, the situation starts to raise too many questions.

I realize right now, that unless Anderson falls apart, he's likely going to remain the starter on a playoff hopeful team, but if he falters and Quinn does impress, it clouds the picture a bit.

Travis Wilson starting in Edwards spot is #1 for me tonight.

Browns DLine is #2.

also want to see how the nickle/dime defenses look.

I don't think Anderson will falter this year, but if the Browns are out of playoff contention, Quinn might start the last couple of games. If you make your league finals, you might have to start a backup QB.

After last year, I don't see why the Browns did not just hand it to Anderson, and traded Quinn for draft picks or defensive help.

The only way Quinn see's the field is injury. D.A. looks great in camp and will build off his tremendous 07 season.

Ditto for me about Anderson. It's becoming more and more clear to me he or Big Ben will probably be my QB this year (6 point per all TD's and QB's go quick) so I want to scout them both a lot this preseason.

They might still do that. But if they are out of contention, they will start Quinn the last game (or 2) to showcase him. Unless they think Quinn isn't very good, then they might not start him at all.

No pic, but I just saw them on the pre-game. Other than the pants, not really different, but boy do they look awful.

Dark brown, almost look like pantyhose. All they need is a "LEGGS" logo.

I'm looking to see Brady Quinn.

Brady Quinn should treat these games as auditions to the rest of the league. I hope he's bright enough to know that. I think Anderson is the real deal and unless they get rid of Anderson, Quinn is buried until he gets traded himself. People are only going to want to trade for him if he looks like he has potential.

Brady's gonna play to his potential no matter what.Don't under-estimate the Browns' fans love affair with Brady Quinn, regardless of how Anderson did last year. If Anderson begins to falter at all, that stadium will be chanting "we want..." before you can say "their pants look like pantyhose." I don't think the Browns will get the opportunity to begin thinking of shopping Quinn.

Dare I say "Plaxico who?"

Not really, but just sayin'...

Seriously though, I've had some real concerns with the Browns secondary. It's beginning to look evident.

Looking forward to their opener against the Cowboys. That might be a Romo show.

Dear God, tell me this is just a "preseason uniform experiment"... they should burn those brown pants IMMEDIATELY! :XThey rarely wear the orange pants/brown jerseys (Brian Sipe era), but they're awesome. That's what they should go to.

Hixon is going to bolster that D/ST and make them top 3, IMO. He wont do to much on offense unless one of these injuries linger to the regular season. Remember they just drafted Manningham and I would expect him to work as the WR4 by mid season.

This display unfortunately does not look good for David Tyree....

Wow ... Osi just absolutely exploded Derek Anderson. Anderson on the way to the trainers room. It's Brady time.

That hit hurt from my couch.

omfg....did I just see the giants throw a deep bomb up 30-3???????????

RUNNING UP THE SCORE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

And the Browns are still the Browns.
Browns suck....preseason or not.
;)
dude, seriously? they were not ready to play this game. they looked awful.
absolutelybut after all the talk that's gone on in this city and in the media so far this preseason, this is exactly what they needed

and yet it's still a preseason game... :goodposting:
i agree hopefully it's a wakeup call for them.

Is this guy really the backup for the Giants? He looks terrible. They have went from a guy who can throw but can't move to a guy who can move but can't throw.

that was a beautiful play.
LOL, I'm watching the game so I know what you're referring to, but there has been times when I wasn't able to and a post like this I considered a major tease.
yeah, i realized that after i posted.for those who aren't watching:Saftey blitzed the strong side anticipating the count, knocked the ball up and the DB on the weak side caught it and ran it in for the touchdown.
