Gaining my independence (1 Viewer)

Really?

Even Bush had higher approval ratings in his first term - not so much in his second. Even Lyndon Johnson had slightly higher approval ratings.
Compare apples to apples and look relative to other two term Presidents' last year in office. They all come in liked and generally leave hated. Report back, since you're trying so hard.

You weren't specific about it being the last year in office. But you did say historic. So here is history.  Doesn't have Obama listed yet, so you will have to compare my last link to this one.
Yeah, I'm not going to argue semantics with you. Feel free to look up the numbers -- he's behind only Bill Clinton at a similar point in their terms in the modern era. Yeah, a point higher than Reagan was at the same point. Given the highly charged partisan atmosphere of current day America, it's historic.

You don't get to make a blanket statement about his popularity by cherry-picking the most favorable data.

I've lived in closed primary states my whole life (I think).  Not belonging to a party would mean voluntarily giving up roughly half of my voting power.  Probably much more than half, because I live in an area where Democrats are heavily favored in general elections.
Exactly.  I wouldn't be able to vote in local elections.  At least not so that my vote would be meaningful.  The general election is a mere formality in a city that's 90=% registered Democrat.  I actually had to switch from Green to D to have a say in city politics.

Just another case of the man keeping you down.

Conservative opposition won't let us fix it the way it needs to be fixed and you know it. This is hastily and poorly formulated snark on your part. I thought you fixed yourself while you were away?
Actually it was Democrats who screwed us. We didn't even get a public option much less single payer because of Democratic resistance. Remember Dens had the Congress , the Senate and the White House. But they wanted to make sure their donors got over, that was more important than the country or the sick in it.

So Bernie told Democrats in Congress that it was more important to fix the country than it was to win an election. They booed. Glad I've moved on.

And I'll expect the "liberal" media to be up in arms over their discourtesy any minute now. Just like.they were over Nevada. Oh wait no I won't.
