Game Thread: Jaguars at Vikings (1 Viewer)

Long TD pass from Gabbert to Shorts to take the lead with :30 remaining.

39 yards and Shorts falls over the line for the TD. Great pass and reception.

Great game Jags. Vikings OC made a terrible calls on offense. 3 consective runs - a 1st down could have won them the game.

Same **it different year.

I was a defender of Frazier but no more. His wimpy offensives decision to sit on a lead costs them yet again.

:excited: Walsh pays off in the first game!

Still ticked off at Frazier for the."play not to lose mentality" but Wow on the Walsh decision!

I'm schocked. I thought it was over. Still did not like the conservative play calling by the Vikings after the Jags punt.

ADP rushes move the Vikes down the field by running between the tackles.

If you grabbed ADP you'll be pleased to know that he looks great and is running without fear or any noticeable problem.

If you grabbed Toby and hoped for big things from him you may have chose poorly.

I still can't believe that the Vikings won. Walsh bailed them out.

BTW: I have been critical of Gabbert in the past but he played excellent today. Jags dominated in the first half. Vikings got lucky to win.

Skol!

:horns:

Vikings win as the Jags offense couldn't get anything going in OT.

As this O-Line continues to grow and improve, ADP should have another quality season. Hopefully, the offensive coaches will have reason to open up the passing game more with the return of Jerome Simpson and a heavy dose of Percy Harvin used if every which way.

The defense had some huge plays today as well. A few clutch knocked down passes late in the game by Greenway and another guy whose name I didn't catch. It's also nice to get a fumble recovery once in a while. IIRC the Vikings were at or near the bottom on fumble recoveries and interceptions last year.

Harrison Smith

Vikings got lucky at the end of this game. Blair Walsh MVP.

Wonderful to see that Peterson is healthy enough to contribute right away! If he does not have any set backs it looks like Gerhardt may be less involved than I was thinking.

The passing game should get a boost when Simpson comes back off suspension but I still see Rudolph being #2 in targets after Harvin in the passing game.

If the Vikings would have just scored in the 3rd quarter from 2 yards out this game would have had much less drama.

wow. not much of a read on how MJD looked. saw some reports that he 'lacked burst' but he still averaged 4 YPC.

thoughts anyone?

Maybe had a little less burst than last year, but probably due to lack of preseason conditioning. He was still the little bowling ball he's always been getting a good number of his yards after contact.
