Game Thread W11 - Pittsburgh V Cleveland (1 Viewer)

Are Cleveland games ever broadcast in HD on the Ticket? Seriously. I never see them in HD so I usually don't watch much of their games.

Its 2006 and CBS is still not doing all HD. Pathetic.

Not much of a first drive for the Steelers. The Browns are moving the ball pretty well by comparison.

The Denver game was. I have sent DTV, NFL, CBS, CBS sportsline, KDKA, and CBS Cleveland complaint emails.

Wow -- looked like about a 43 yard FG attempt for the Browns but it hits the crossbar and bounces back.

Cleveland has pretty much owned the game so far -- a couple of good defensive plays by the Steelers (the sack and fumble recovery and the 8 yard stuff on the reverse to Edwards) and the missed field goal are keeping this one tight.

Hines Ward had the ball wrestled away but the refs had called him down based on lack of forward progress. Looking at the replay, the Browns could have a legit beef there but the play was not reviewable.

Steelers D tightening up now. PIT will have pretty good field position to start this drive.

Not much of a throw there by Roethlisberger. Too high and tipped up by Holmes and picked for the INT return TD.

Ben throws a short right pass that is too high. It bounces off the fingertips of Santonio Holmes and into the Hands of DB Davin Holly for the pick return for six.

Browns D looking great today. Sean Jones was very close to picking a pass off earlier, and Daven Holly picks Big Ben and takes it to the house.

Don't know why the Steelers aren't just running the ball on every play. In any case, the Browns D is for real.

Dawson puts the Browns up by 10 with a chip shot. With 1:50 to go before the half the Steelers will have a chance to get on the board. It will be interesting to see what the play mix will be.

Intercepta-Berger number three.... i can go on all day folks
:shrug:The fact that he is even playing in these games is bizarre. The guy is a trainwreck this year and they have a very capable back-up.
yeah, that 96+ QB rating over his past 5 games.....just terrible.
If you haven't noticed. He is horribly inconsistent.
If you haven't noticed, he's the QBotF for this franchise. Saying you bench him is idiotic. Let him work through his issues. Maybe I'd agree if PIT was in the playoff hunt, but...if you haven't noticed, PIT is 30 mins away from sole ownership of the ACFN basement.

I would say only one of the picks in this game were his fault, and that was just an errant throw rather than a bad read or something (and the Steeler WR tipped it). The other two have been on the money but deflected right to a Browns defender... not much he could do about those two

This is pretty much my thought as well. There's not a whole lot to salvage at this point so unless this adversity is somehow going to permanently damage Roethlisberger's psyche, there's no point in pulling him. I think he needs to play through it.

Where is Cowher's fire been this year?

I'm tired of him just standing there on the sidelines.
I've been wondering this, too. It seems like if he was getting worked up as much as he normally does -- and there have been plenty of opportunities to get worked up this season -- he would get the usual amount of camera time frothing at the mouth and spitting at people. But he's hardly ever being shown during the games so far this year.I'm afraid he might be done.

If last year was one of his best coaching efforts, this year is shaping up as his worst.

WTF Davenport! He is running down the sideline but runs out of bounds to avoid contact with THE KICKER. called back for holding, but still.....

what's the point in trying at this point?
What are you doing here?
subtly badmouthing the stillers as the move into last place in the AFC north.there goes the subtle part.
This game is far from over and the Bengals are sub .500 - you must be really pleased.
