so does he bug you a little less after today? But Tebow bugs me because I don't like to see incompetence rewarded. He's a terrible starting QB. Yet he wins. The defense plays great, and all the teams Denver is playing have struggling offenses. So week after week we're forced to endure Tim Tebow play an incredibly awful game and yet the Broncos win.
We really want the 2nd pickhow do you not let them ####### score???????????????it's your only chance
I think that one goes to Ponder. That makes his second and shows how Tebow helps his team versus hurting them. They gonna give that INT to Tebow too?
Makes no sense why teams do don't allow the score, just ridiculous.would have been the wise decision.Let em score?
But you love it for the wrong reasons. You think he bugs me because he's religious (which in your Sarah worshipping mind means it must be a conservative thing- rather simplistic in itself on your part.) Frazier is so old-school that he still thinks field goals are a 50/50 proposition.how do you not let them ####### score???????????????it's your only chance
Apparently Leslie thinks that, in a game where his offense has sliced and diced their way down the field with relative ease, they have a better chance of Matt Prater missing what's basically a PAT than that offense does of driving the field in 2 minutes.Or, it could be that NFL coaches as a group are just a bunch of scared, overly-conservative traditionalists that are afraid of innovation.Makes no sense why teams do don't allow the score, just ridiculous.would have been the wise decision.Let em score?
At 50 yards it still is.Frazier is so old-school that he still thinks field goals are a 50/50 proposition.how do you not let them ####### score???????????????it's your only chance
Against a scrub secondary that either was on the street or should be. It's all about context.I had to correct that. It's only 149In spite of a really bad drop by Decker and Thomas missing two close ones (one toe out of bounds and the one he had in his hands in the endzone).Tebow will finish this game with a perfect passer rating.
You might have to ask Red Foreman about that. When was the last time we blocked a FG? The 70s?
Of course. There's always something to diminish every Tebow performance and Denver win.Against a scrub secondary that either was on the street or should be. I don't think you're going to ever find a coach say that a team is guaranteed points on the board based on field position.Apparently Leslie thinks that, in a game where his offense has sliced and diced their way down the field with relative ease, they have a better chance of Matt Prater missing what's basically a PAT than that offense does of driving the field in 2 minutes.Or, it could be that NFL coaches as a group are just a bunch of scared, overly-conservative traditionalists that are afraid of innovation.Makes no sense why teams do don't allow the score, just ridiculous.would have been the wise decision.Let em score?
crazy season if you are a Bronco fan
Really? A Lions fan? S T F U! I do hope Stafford throws 6 tds today though.screw you Vikings![]()
So that's the new thing? Let me just make sure we're on the same page here.Miami is awful, he can't do it against a decent team.Against a scrub secondary that either was on the street or should be. This team is going to singlehandedly kill my liver this year. I don't care where this ride ends, but it is so great to have relevant games as a Bronco fan.And just FYI if you have Tim posting in a thread supporting your team/going against the other team, you might want to start hitting that report button because he is the kiss of death for you....But you love it for the wrong reasons. Their safeties are horrid.Vikings need a CB that can cover. It might be OK to forget to cover Demaryius Thomas once but not three times.

KC/Oakland don't have great defenses, just wait until he plays the Jets
The Jets have a really bad offense, he won't be able to keep up against teams that can score
Minnesota has a weak secondary. He won't be able to win against teams that have great defenses AND score 30+ points
So basically where we're at now is that this team, who was previously among the worst in the NFL and wouldn't have been favored against anyone outside of Indy, now has the extremely uncommon fault of not being able to beat teams that have great offenses AND great defenses.
He looked really good. That last INT was tough, but it was a disguised coverage where the DB dropped back in the flat after the snap. Ponder never saw him drop into coverage.I think Ponder has shown great improvement. He had 350+ and 3 TD's against a good defense with only 1 above average weapon on offense (Harvin - ADP out). You gotta put him right next to Dalton as a rookie QB. I think he will finish the year like Flacco and Ryan did a couple years ago. He didn't play from week 1 like they did obviously, but that's the kind of buzz he'll likely have going into next year.'Time Kibitzer said:How has Ponder looked?
So how is the draft looking? Any great safeties or CBs coming out?Their safeties are horrid.Vikings need a CB that can cover. It might be OK to forget to cover Demaryius Thomas once but not three times.
Just draft anyone from LSU's secondary.Tyrann Mathieu is the next Troy Pololamu/Ed Reed.So how is the draft looking? Any great safeties or CBs coming out?Their safeties are horrid.Vikings need a CB that can cover. It might be OK to forget to cover Demaryius Thomas once but not three times.
Janoris Jenkins from North Alabama is a great cover corner. He does have the baggage of getting kicked off of the Gators for pot offenses. So how is the draft looking? Any great safeties or CBs coming out?Their safeties are horrid.Vikings need a CB that can cover. It might be OK to forget to cover Demaryius Thomas once but not three times.
Are you kidding me? I don't think anyone expected the Vikings to win that game. If you're going to try and inflate your boy with stats than it's pretty ignorant to not add that he was playing against backups of backups.Tebow had ok game, but an amazing fourth quarter. It was a combined effort of major turnovers and stops by the defense at the right time, and Tebow getting it done when it counted. Neither wins without the other, but people are trying to say, "see I told you he's a great QB, look at these stats!!!" He's played against better secondaries at Florida, so excuse me if I'm not ready to crown him as being the best QB in the league.'FreeBaGeL said:So that's the new thing? Uh, wrong. I think the problem is some of his critics are in such denial over the impact he has had on the Broncos, that they refuse to give him credit for anything. Does he deserve credit for everything? Of course not. But he deserves plenty of credit, which many of his critics still stubbornly refuse to give him.'griff321 said:It's hilarious how touchy Denver fans have become over Tebow. The betting line would suggest otherwise.'griff321 said:Are you kidding me? I don't think anyone expected the Vikings to win that game.
Agreed. Ponder is a player. Like you, I'd say he and Dalton are very close. He looked really good. Look at this thread. Earlier I'm talking about how I love guys like Tebow and Harvin that don't fit the typical mold, but are football player and they made that game really fun. Then I made one comment about how you have to take Tebow's QB rating in context because he's playing a secondary starting backups of backups and I get a bunch of posters jumping down my throat. He an fun and awesome player, but I think the Broncos had 1 first down all of the first half. It wasn't exactly all roses. Some of the TV talking heads really need to eat a bit of humble pie though. What Tebow is doing is too fun and it's great for the league.Uh, wrong. I think the problem is some of his critics are in such denial over the impact he has had on the Broncos, that they refuse to give him credit for anything. Does he deserve credit for everything?
