Game Thread W13 - San Francisco v Buffalo (1 Viewer)

Not able to see any of the games this week here in PI. What happened to Lindell on the field goal?
He was pissed because he's got Lynch on his fantasy teams, and the idiot Bills coaching staff didn't give him a single carry when they got down to the two. Much better idea to pass in that situation . . .

2nd week in a row where Gore can't get anything going on the ground... that will have to change if SF is going to hang on here.

You obviously haven't been paying attention. The Bills have shown that they're capable of playing arbitrarily bad football right now.

Leodis McKelvin must have screwed one of the officials daughters, because he is being victimized by some really ridiculous penalties.

and the TimeoutHORRIBLE PLAYCALLLING in Buffalo
The screen to Schouman was a nicely thought-out play, but yeah the quick hitter to Jackson was a classic example of a playcaller outthinking himself. Also, the Bills are allergic to timeouts. It is essential that they waste at least 2 or 3 per game.

While I'm criticizing the coaching staff, the decision to go for it on 4th and a really long 2 was horrible. You need a FG sooner or later. Go ahead and take it.

On a related note, anybody who's watched this team the past few seasons could have told you that putting the game in JP Losman's hands is not going to work out. I like the guy, and I wish there was some way we could keep him next year as a backup, but the guy just cannot get it done in crunch-time.

Actually, I like the call. Though admittedly I am playing against Lindell this week. :loco:

I am really sick of seeing this team get blown up every three years, and I don't even know how much of this is a coaching issue vs. a personnel issue, but this team just doesn't want to win as badly as everybody else. I understand losing to NE, and I can even get over losing to the Jets, but when you're losing to Cleveland and SF and looking awful in the process, something is seriously broken about this franchise. I don't know if its that the coaching staff doesn't prepare properly, whether we aren't capable of developing our talent, or whether we have too many guys on the team who talk a great game and then come up small in crunch time (London Fletcher Syndrome), and maybe its a combination of those factors, but this is a disgrace.

The thing I can't get over is how you fail to get the ball in Lynch's hands in the fourth quarter. WTF?

Trent Edwards is (still) garbage.

So much for that mirage against the worst defense in the NFL. Bills fans surprised me with their quick defense of him last week, as if Edwards plays like that against real defenses.

Huh? Edwards was playing great up to the point that they beat SD to go 5-1. I agree he's been very bad since then, but I don't know how much of it is him, and how much of it is just this team. I'm 100% confident that benching him to go with Losman is a very poor decision. Losman is obviously no better than Edwards, and I'm getting a little tired of this team mismanaging its QBs. That's bad shtick.

You must be either JP's mom or a bitter Evans owner?I mean yah what can you say other than call a spade a spade - he played like crap today. I don't get the "I told you so" mentality as if you'd refer to the 49ers as a "real defense" had he played well.

the 49er D is decent when they aren't on the field 40 minutes each game.that said, what an ugly game. i really thought the bills were a decent team and was very surprised by their showing today.

**** Jauron is who we thought he was. He's a conservative coach that doesn't get the job done. He doesn't motivate players very well and he plays not to lose games rather than to win games. And of course, that's why they lose more than they win. We could make a lot of excuses: Injuries to key defensive players like Schobel, Whitner, McGee, Stroud, Greer; Peters's holdout, injuries to Reed and Parrish, etc.But the bottom line is that injuries happen in the NFL. And this team isn't good enough to overcome those injuries. Both talent-wise and coaching-wise. Every single week they come out with the same vanilla gameplan and teams blow them up. If you've seen this team on film once, you know exactly what they're going to do on both sides of the ball.

No. I've got a generally low opinion of him and I voiced as much last week, only to be countered with tosh about how great he looked against the mighty Chiefs!Just reminding the blind homers that he sucks. Kthxbi.
