Not Tebows fault. Is it? Either teams play him right and they lose. Is the NFL fixing games? No. It's up to the other teams to stop him and other than the lions, it hasn't happened. You do know that Chicago went prevent D the last 2 drives, right? What's lost in all of this is Tebow was 18 out of his last 24 (including some drops) with a TD. This kid can throw the ball. He plays much better when he's relaxed. Late in these games, when the adrenaline takes over, he simply plays football & doesn't think about his mechanics & all that stuff. Just think how much better Tebow will be when he learns to relax for the whole game.I remain sky-high on Tebow's prospects, but let's not get crazy here. Denver likely doesn't have the horses (yet) to win a playoff game (if they even make it). The Broncos need better personnel before they start winning playoff games, but they've got a good start on things as it stands now.
Chicago just did a good job against the run, imo. Denver had trouble even moving the ball until the very end of the game. Was Mcgahee looking bad today due to the knee? Did he play the whole game?
Exactly, they're "preventing" themselves from winning. Even when detroit did it he lead two redzone drives.Tebow obviously turns it on late but sooner or later teams need to stop changing to prevent when he's been having trouble beating base coverage. The cover 2 is a perfect defense in that situation. There was no reason to pull the corners back.I don't get why the bears would play prevent D lol.. In Tebow name we pray, amen.

The last two drives wasn't 24 passes, though. Regardless, you still have to make the right reads/throws, which is my point.Dude can throw the ball when he's relaxed. its a brilliant move to move up in the draft to get BlackmanI am surprised Lovie Smith isn't getting lambasted. You play to win the game but it looked to me that his team played not to lose. Did he allow Hanie to make one pass down the stretch? I can't believe they didn't attempt to pick up another QB.

I believe that's exactly what happens. Some players are blessed with a calmness when the adrenaline kicks in when most players would get nervous. It's one of the intangibles Tebow possesses. As far as better personnel, the Broncos are quite a ways from being good enough to win playoff games on a consistent basis, but that's really not a revelation to most people. Like I said, though, they've got a good start on it.Anyway, my main point was that despite what many of his detractors think, Tebow can throw the ball. And he'll continue to get better & better, IMO. I think we're looking at a QB who's going to be VERY hard to defend in a year or two as well as what likely will be a FF monster. I was referring to you ridiculous statement 'the kid can throw the ball'. He's never been able to throw the ball for the 1st 3 quarters of any game. It's a only when the opposing team's defense has a brain hemmorage that he completes passes. That is not due to him. It's due to bad coaching on the other sideline. Not Tebows fault. Is it? So tell us all what the hell The Tebow does for 3 quarters? If he could throw the ball like you are dreaming, why don't they just blow out these teams on offense and crush them with their stellar D?I believe that's exactly what happens. I am a believer in the guy and his tangible intangibles' (as I've referred to it since he was at FL) impact on his teams. Was just playing around. As somebody who has competed in a number of sports at far lower levels, I am familiar with performing on adrenaline. Somebody can manage it and even excel under it, but they are never "relaxed." That is merely what it looks like. And as far as personnel, I'd say the only thing this team is missing is a QB who shows up in the first three quarters. OTherwise, they seem to be doing just fine. Tebow is a non-story without the great play of the defense over the last eight weeks. McGahee has been good to great, the d has been good to great, the special teams have been good to great, the line has been good to great. That said, the guy has capitalized on just about every opportunity that comes his way down the stretch. And that's all that counts. That's what I'm getting at with regard to the personnel comment...the rest of the team are the ones setting him up for these opprotunities. A lot of that gets lost in the (justifiable) Tebowmania.A big component to these 4th quarter passing stats is teams playing prevent defense, creating space and high percentage throws.I believe that's exactly what happens. So why was this team 1-4 with a QB who played better for the first 3 quarters? Isn't this the same D, O-Line, McGahee, and special teams? I think relaxed is a good way to describe performing well in clutch situations, but really, it's more or less semantics because it sounds like we agree on the principle of it. I do agree it's not just Tebow, though. Denver has played well as a team. Honestly, much of the failures in 3 quarters is the result of the following;1) VERY conservative play calling - the coaches would MUCH rather run the ball, 1st downs be damned, and punt to put the other guy inside their 30. And their play calling, ESPECIALLY in the first half, is so predictable it's almost comical.2) Some bad passes + bad WR play. Early on, there were more bad passes (i.e. at receivers feet or waaayyy over their heads). The last three games, it seems like there's been a decline in bad passes, and an increase in WR drops. He's far from perfect as a passer, but I see improvement.3) Team execution - there are sooo many unconverted third downs (most of which I think have been runs) where the O-line blew up, the RB can't hit the hole, or Tim throws it incomplete. Bad mix of all of them (oh and some penalties on o) makes it hard to move the ball.4) Second half Offense adjustments - it seems like most games (with the exception of today's), Denver coaching has done a great job of changing things up during halftime. Much of the time it looks like a completely different offense. Now, for today's game, I find the following encouraging;1) The Broncos found a way to win DESPITE two turnovers. This should not happen.2) Tim threw a lot of balls out of bounds, or away. He took some stupid sacks, but I think he's playing a smarter game.. and not taking risks.3) Denver O did move the ball a little in the first half, but wound up missing two FG's, one because of the TT pick, the other was blocked.4) With all of the scrambling TT did today, I *think* the O-line only had one or two holding calls, which is amazing considering the time he had.Full disclosure, I am a Bronco fan, but I like to think I am rational in my analysis of them.Just my .02So tell us all what the hell The Tebow does for 3 quarters?
