Game Thread W15 - San Diego vs. Baltimore (1 Viewer)

Both teams have been playing pretty well lately and have something to play for tonight. Rivers is the kind of QB who can give the Ravens defense fits.

Norv just gave away the game plan: Rivers needs to play within himself.

I suspected as much. He always makes mistakes when he plays outside of himself.

A Chargers win clears a path to the #1 seed for the Steelers. Steelers hold a head-to-head win over the Patriots.

That's a good start for the Chargers. Rivers looked quick and sharp. Hasselbeck just killed Baltimore with the same kind of game plan.

Nice games by Vjax and Gates cement my run to the 'ship and give me high points for the week. C'mon, Bolts!

Edit: Also, anyone with a link, I'd be very grateful for one.

Joe Flacco is as mobile as any QB in the NFL? Nice job, Collinsworth
I did a doubletake on that as well. Vick, Tebow? I'd say they are a little more mobile, but whatever. How recent is the Hulk Hogan handlebar mustache? Haven't seen Flacco up close recently I guess.

that is EXACTLY the kind of TD the Ravens never would have scored in the past. Until this year Flacco has been unable to throw into tight windows in the middle of the field. San Diego is rushing four and challenging Flacco to make those throws - that time he did.

Also, SD hasn't stopped Rice yet. Cameron got away from him at the end of the first drive, as he has been known to do.

Ravens D has made great in-game adjustments all season - will be interesting to see how they adjust now.

Just in the past month or so. Speculation around here is that he grew it to attract attention away from his single eyebrow.

Suggs got his money's worth on that headslap. He needs to step up - only time his name has been called tonight.

Gates showed just how bad Ray has gotten in pass coverage. He is not a 3-down LB any more. Wonder if the D was better without him in there - at least on third down.

CB Jimmy Smith needs to step up, or Webb needs to come in. He has the target on his back tonight. Though I'm thinking this is looking like an Ed Reed game. He might bait Rivers into an INT

I don't know if Baltimore can get enough pressure on Rivers with only 4 guys. But with all those guys in powder blue who can catch home run balls, it sure is risky to send more.

They might as well let Rivers throw 50 times tonight. Gates and McMichael can't block the Ravens OLBs.

Flacco has happy feet tonight. Four-man rush isn't getting anywhere close to him and he's still chucking it out like he's under heavy pressure.

D has to pick the Ravens up with a stop here, since SD gets the 2nd half kickoff.

My mistake. Rivers baited Reed into getting totally torched. I get so tired of watching him hang his CBs out to dry trying to go for the big play.

Beautiful double move by Jackson and beautiful throw by Rivers.

Jackson looked kind of slow on that play after the catch, though. When he caught it, I thought he'd score, but he didn't have a chance.

Glad to see the Chargers finally gave Mathews a chance at the goal line. And he made a nice play for a TD.
