Game Thread W16 - Miami V New England (1 Viewer)

After a bomb to Hartline put Miami in FG range, Moore throws a bad pass to an open Bess that should have resulted in a first down. Bess stretched and seemingly managed to reel it in but fell down for only a 6-yard gain on 3rd down, forcing a FG try. But NE challenges the play and it's correctly ruled an incomplete pass. The added 6 yards are no problem for Carpenter and the 47-yard FG is good. Not sure that was worth a challenge.

Bush was briefly over 1000 yards for the season but goes back under after recovering a fumble on a botched exchange. Moore is not looking good so far and has already blown two timeouts, including one before a 3d-and-17. After the TO Miami comes back with a draw play.

Brandon Marshall is such a bum. How many drops in the last two weeks is this for the love of god? He dropped multiple td's last week, picking up where he left off.

Reggie Bush pass attempt to Matt Moore causes Ninkovich to create pass interference (Yes definitely Bush to Moore)

Doplhins at 1st and goal

On Miami's first set of downs on that drive a stupid NE pass interference penalty on an uncatchable ball on 3rd-and-12 kept the drive alive.Miami is absolutely dominating this game in every way.

All the early whining. Usually turns out to be a reverse jinx. NE may still lose, but does anybody expect Brady to finish with < 250 and 2 TDs?

Deion Branch = Mensa
One of the dumbest plays of the year. For those who didn't see it, Branch cut back inside after catching a ball down the sidelines. Forced NE to burn last timeout and so all they could do throw one short safe pass before settling for a long FG try that missed.

Thx marshallrob for the updates & keep em coming pls. I'm in colombia and the only game on is STL @ PIT.

and comeon gost...

Hoyer time...Brady looks absolutely terrible today. Worst I've ever seen him. Low throws, off target...bad decisions. Sucks today. Plain and simple

Solid methodical drive to open 2d half for Pats nets a FG. Brady has been under pressure all game but he's also missing throws you would expect him to make, especially when he's trying to hit Welker.

NE gets the turnover they needed and now they are right back in it.

Miami had good pressure on Brady but he kept the play alive long enough to find Branch deep in the end zone. Like the first half never happened.

Another short-field possession for NE after a short punt from deep in Miami territory, and the game is tied after Brady sneaks it in. Miami the team getting worn down now as the Pats have had the ball virtually the entire 3d quarter.

Dolphins leaning on the ground game now. Marshall kicks off a drive with a good run, then some strong work from Bush who is now over a 100 yards for the day. But the quarter ends on a holding call on the Fins.

Belichick blows his last challenge on the spot of Hartline's catch on 3rd down. First down at NE 44. Next play Moore throws deep down middle of the field, ball hangs up in the wind, and McCourty picks it off at the Pats two. Then a 20 yard pass to Gronk.

Fantastic effort by Moore to avoid a sack and (barely) an intentional grounding call. Then he does get blasted for a sack by Mayo to force a punt. New England at midfield with 7 minutes left.

The Brady to Welker show heats up. Ridley does the hard work to get it down to the one. And Brady takes it in himself again. Second half a complete inversion of the first half. Game over.

Ridley played really well today. His stats aren't incredibly eye-catching, but he was absolutely their go-to runner. He made some strong runs in the redzone that were nearly in. Brady scored three TDs from one yard out (two of which were rushing). While I think it's a fluke, I'll be watching to see if Ridley is seen as a goal line back or not.

Ridley 13 rushes for 64 yards

Law Firm 3 rushes for 10 yards
