Game Thread W17 - San Francisco V Denver (1 Viewer)

Bengals just lost so Broncos are win.

The question is, do they bench their starters? A loss gives them the #6 seed, but doesn't guarantee they play the Patriots or Colts since the Colts game has been played yet.

Here we go... Tatum will have 8 carries and 9 yards... Mike Bell will come in... have 2 yard carry, then a 12 yard carry... and Tatum is DONE. Glad I benched Corey Dillon.

Nice kick. I have to say that Frank Gore, by himself, has actually made me watch the Niners. Thank God I picked up Gore in the middle of last season.

Denver has to win or tie to make the playoffs...if they lose, KC makes it.

Cutler leaves game with head injury

Associated Press

DENVER (AP) - Broncos quarterback Jay Cutler left the Broncos' game with the 49ers after taking a hit from Anthony Adams early in the second quarter on Sunday.

He was replaced by Jake Plummer.

Cutler was dropping back to pass when Adams hit him from the front and then fell on top of him, causing Cutler to fumble. However, the 49ers were called for illegal contact downfield on the play and Denver kept the football.

Plummer led the Broncos to a field goal to give them a 6-0 lead in the second quarter.

It's been a while since I've seen such a boring playoff implication game. The playcalling on both sides of the ball has been atrocious and the Niners keep getting hit with a bunch of boneheaded penalties. Plummer, by the way, still sucks.

are they making this up as they go along???

what a terrible call.

how long does someone have to have it?

:goodposting:

Where do these guys come up with this stuff? I swear they go under the screen and all they are shown is a magic 8-ball.

Okay, so they send half the broadcast team because of the snow--minimal graphics--a terrible broadcast team, a horrible official crew too.

Wonder if Denver is gonna just play for the tie here with 7 minutes left in OT. Only way they miss the playoffs is with a loss...

Would be funny to see them take knees with the game tied.

Neither of these teams are all that impressive. SF you might expect it from, but Denver definitely does not look like a team fighting for a playoff spot.

Jeebus Christ this is a long game.

Got exciting at the end of regulation, but it's been a bore-fest for me.

We are playing for a tie....
:shrug:4:45 away from getting it. Is a tie "backing" into the playoffs? Doesn't seem like it to me.Regardless - someone above said Denver isn't playing like a team fighting for a playoff spot - that's true. Both Jacksonville and Kansas City, OTOH, played lilke teams looking for a playoff spot.
