Game Thread W2 - Washington v Philadelphia (1 Viewer)

Campbell reminded me of a younger McNabb on that scramble-throw to Yoder.
All Campbell there.. love to see him improvise a bit.. looking comfortable.
I don't know what the future holds of course but this could be a big coming of age game for him. He's improved even between the 1st and 4th quarters, and that's in the most hostile of venues in the division and arguably the league. Impressive.
That sounds exactly like stuff I heard about Leftwich for years. Maybe - but I wouldn't hold your breath.I just can't believe how pathetic PHI is.
I've seen Leftwich. Campbell's already shown me more. His improvement curve, if you will, has been on a steady rise too. He's been consistent in that regard.

Eagles secondary really banged up.

They'll struggle like hell for points then Campbell to Randel El TD in one play. :-(

Taylor is either going to kill someone or himself before his career is over
:lmao: He truly throws his body around with absolutely no regard for anything except making violence. It's impressive and scary.
it's incredible. i love his reckless abandon. the league needs more maniacs like him.
He just needs to cut down on the personal fouls.
now you're just taking all the fun out of the game

Ok, this drive will feature Portis and at least one deep pass play IMHO. Any score by Washington effectively wins the game.

Philly fans a ridiculous, you have to take the points there. It's a shame when fans boo and have no clue what they are booing for.

Wash needs a drive here, still a lot of time left. Portis needs to come up big right now.

And the (alleged) felonies. And the spitting. But otherwise . . .

the two don't really compare at all.Leftwich is big, slow, has a super long and deliberate delivery. Campbell is athletic, quick, has a smooth delivery and an equally powerful arm.

Barring injury to Portis, Betts is going to be one of the biggest waste of a fantasy draft pick.
Agreed. He's a 7th-9th round lottery ticket. Could be GOLD, could be worthless...
I saw Michael Turner go in round 9's of many drafts. Ladell Betts looks like a stud with his numbers so far this year compared to him.
SD pays ways too much homage to LT, leaving him out there all during garbage time, win or lose. Turner will never see the light of day on that team barring catastrophic injury to LT.I'm looking forward to seeing where Turner plays next year. Whadya think, a 2nd rounder in fantasy drafts next year? Depending on the team he plays for, I'd take him after maybe the Top 9-11 RBs in this year's "average" fantasy draft.

On one hand, Reid made the right call by the book to kick the FG. On the other hand, as an Eagles fan, I doubt the Birds get the ball back without Dawkins back there.

it's what makes the guy colorful

I don't know, I'm certainly no genius but I think this plan would work vs. Philly.

It's similar to a box in one in basketball when you're up against one player who significantly better than the rest on that team and you want to shut him down.

I don't understand how you don't have double coverage on Westbrook everytime. It IS possible to shut down Westbrook, I've seen LT get shut down 2 weeks in a row, so it's certainly possible to shutdown Westbrook.

Philly has NO receivers. You double Westbrook all over the place and you pressure MCNabb. The only thing that would beat you is if he could scramble. He has shown no ability to get around and scramble to beat the Skins. Back in the day, if you doubled Westbrook, McNabb would just simply gain 10 yards at a time till you had to come up and then he'd burn you on the pass or dump it over your head to Westbrook.

That's not happening now.
