Game Thread W2 - Washington v Philadelphia (1 Viewer)

remember when Philly had an unstoppable offense? those were the days...Kevin Curtis and Reggie Brown? Is there a worse WR corp in the league?
check out minnesota and jville..
point taken, but I said worse. I suggest that they are all equally bad. Philly should call Mr. X factor and beg him to come back, lol!
I dont think Minnesota or Jacksonville have a wr as good as curtis.. lol

WoW!

The Skins sure made it hard on themselves, but all's well that ends well.

Still have to worry about the coaching & line discipline there. Can't have goal to go on the one, with 14 seconds, no time outs & implode like that.

Cooley is one of my new favorite, blue collar players. He looks like a cross between Artie Lange and a dee de dee. Very respectable to middle America.

Surprised everyone is all over Campbell's jock for that throw. I'm rooting for him (see sig) but that is an easy throw and he actually underthrew it by quite a bit. If the CB underneath doesn't play it terribly that's probably picked. Should've been more towards the back corner.

That may of been the oddest set of circumstances we see this season to culminate in a last second touchdown. Seriously, what was it one of the announcer's said?

"They shot themselves in the foot so many times, the gun was empty on that play"

What just happened?
Skins had the ball on the 2 yard line on a great catch-and-run by Randle El. About 14 seconds left. Then they got 3 straight penalties. The Eagles took a timeout to ice the FG kicker. The Redskins put the offense back in, and Campbell lofted the purtiest TD pass to Cooley.

What just happened?
At the one, the Redskins had a delay of game and a false start, then decided to kick a FG with 14 seconds left, Reid called time out to ice Suisham, Gibbs decided to go for it because of the time out, they had another false start, then Campbell to Cooley for a TD in the left corner.

Wow, the backups on the right side of that line are brutal to watch and just killing Wash.
As a Texans' fan, I can say with confidence that Todd Wade at RT will do that to an offensive line. He's an OK run blocker but brutal in pass protection. He's so slow and lumbering that speed rushers will just kill him, especially on 7 step drops. Sometimes he looks like a freakin' matador out there.

TERRIBLE coaching right there at the end of the half by the Redskins.

Do you think that was on Gibbs, or Saunders, for not getting the proper personnel in quick enough?

I'm not sure which was worse -- that awful half of football or the shameless (and bad I might add) halftime plug for ESPN's PTI. Ouch.

"Respect your elders you punks!"

I feel like I'm stuck in a bad episode of the twighlight zone. Can we have Al Michaels back now? Pretty please?

I think the passing threat the Skins showed will open up the running game in the 2nd half. The Eagles were forcing the Skins to beat them in the air, and they showed that they can. I like where the Skins are at this point...

It's Fabini screwing up and he is the backup. Thomas is out, I can forgive a bit since #1 they got the TD, and #2 it's on the road for a backup.

no offense to brees but donovan will be the qb bust of the year...

note to fantasy owners.. never take a QB who runs a year after his ACL (so pay atention if VY ever goes down)

That was one of the grossest halfs of football I've ever seen :hophead:
Ya know, you watch this game and you watch the Patriots and wonder how they can be in the same league.
What do the Patriots have to do with that being an awful half of football :lmao:
:Insert lame video tape joke here:
I'm an Eagles fan,,,if Donovan had the Redskin's play calls it would still be 3 and out

Campbell's not really a running QB, but I've always liked when he's chosen to scramble. He's effective, but he doesnt use it to replace his passing skills.
