Game Thread W3 - Detroit V Minnesota (1 Viewer)

Anyone hear anything on Best? I saw him come off the field after the first play of the game where he looked like he got hit hard. Saw him later in the game again but only one carry since. Any news anyone?

DETROIT (-3.5) at MINNESOTAI'm having a tough time seeing how this one sits where it does. Are people STILL not convinced that this is a completely different Lions team than the one we've grown accustomed to? I mean, what more do they need to do? Likewise, what else do the Vikings have to do to show that they aren't close to being in Detroit's class? And yet here they are, little more than field goal underdogs. This is crazy talk. PICK: Lions
-Mike Brown (FBG staff)

I had a feeling it'd be close at least, but I really should have seen that the D would rally around their leaders and play lights out. :bag:

Yeah can't say I saw this start coming for the Vikes. You guys looked like the worst team in football history in Week 1 against SD and Detroit's been amazing. Still got another half to play though...ETA: Not worst team, but worst offense

I'm not. Just can't let a comment like "crazy talk" go by without its due attention.

Still have to see if Minn can finish, but I was telling all the guys at work this was kind of a trap game for the Lions. They are good, but the Vikes are better than they have been showing in the 2nd half of the last 2 games. And the Vikes are built to keep the Lion's O off the field and harrass Stafford all day long when they are on the field. What the Vikes couldn't do is go down early, and they have avoided that.

Marcus Sherels continues to just impress my pants off. Great UDFA for the vikes.

dfgljsdflaskdjf Kevin Williams WTF!!!!!????

Every time the Red Zone channel switches to the Vikings game there is a whirring noise in the audio broadcast - at first I thought is was a Viking horn. Is anyone else hearing this noise or is my hearing going?

I've heard this from other people, but have never had the problem. I have comcast btw and I usually mute the games and listen to the voice of the Vikings, that is like chocolate for my ears, Paul Allen.

It's bad on my feed too

I know they shut down TB Mike and Vincent Jackson the first two weeks but can anyone watching that can any insight on Megatron's situation/lack of performance today?

Mine as well - I'll blame Comcast because they pretty much suck. One of the games had this same noise last week as well but don't remember which one it was.

Same noise for me on Direct TV.

Vikes have kept the Lion's O off the field, been all over Stafford when he is out there, and the one big pass the Lions sent downfield to Johnson was defended perfectly by Cook.

Thanks guys - I was really starting to wonder if my hearing was going.

Not to take anything away from Chris Cook because he's playing VERY good these past few weeks and the Dline certainly is doing their part.

this was 100% predictable given the way the Vikings have choked away the first two games. i knew their D would be tough to do anything against today. I still expect them to make a little noise here and Donovan should give them a chance with a turnover or two.
