On 3rd and Goal, Rivers drops to pass and LT goes wide right...not a defender within 5 yards of him...by the time Rivers sees it, Jared Allen is bearing down on him and he throws it away. That play is going to be indefenseable for Rivers when they review the film. Just completely missed seeing the best player on the field.
So what happened in the second half that caused the collapse? Did Norv get cocky and try to move the ball through the air too much? LT had a total of 6 carries in the second half. If you have any kind of lead with LT on your team, you give the ball to him and say "Here, take over. Thanks for securing this win for us".
SD fed right into the KC defenses strengths. When SD spread the offense and ignored LT, the KCD was licking it's chops.Would have been even worse had Surtain held onto that INT-TD
Chargers can't hold it at home? This was coach motivation at its finest for the Chiefs. You go in with no momentum, to a hungry crowd, down by a couple scores. Any prospects for Chargers GM after week 17?

Philip was asked about this play in his postgame Q&A and he said he saw LT the whole time but Ty Law was playing cat and mouse on that play shadowing LT.I agree with you though - it looked bad on TV the first time I saw it.

Just saw the play again. There was no one very close and that's PRECISELY the person to give it to in space. Sure he;d have to beat someone, but by the time he would've caught it he needed two steps before he could've launched airborne into the end zone. Perfect play for LT, that is WHAT HE DOES. He breaks ankles of defenders and scores TDs. Absolutely, 100% should have zipped it to LT. Easily gets it inside the 5 and most likely scores.
