Game Thread W4 - Pittsburgh V Houston (1 Viewer)

Mendenhall shocks me every week with his questionable vision. He doesn't see holes, he runs into linemen, and just looks defeated every game.

NNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOo

Andre goes down untouched to teh ground grabbing his knee.

That does not look good. Sorry texans fans. Same thing that happened to Welker in that stadium. Need to change that ####### turf. :(

not good... hoping it's a hammy and not something more major... didn't look like any of the earlier ACL injuries like Britt

The fact that he was able to "walk" (limp) off is good. It sure didn't look good. Kenny Britt and Wes Welker memories pop up.

Not sure what is wrong with James Harrison. Either looking at his eye, or maybe I am speculating a concussion. Took a very hard helmet to helmet agains tthe Hou LT Brown.

Natural grass.
Yes they haul it out into the sun Belichick after Welker went down"The turf down there is terrible," Belichick said. "It’s terrible. It’s just inconsistent. It’s all the little trays of grass, and some of them are soft and some of them are firm and they don’t all fit well together, those seams. Some of it feels like a sponge, some of it feels real firm and hard. One step you’re on one, the other step you’re on another. I really think it’s one of the worst fields I’ve seen. [...]"I think the worst thing for a player is when it’s inconsistent," he said. "When you take one step and you get one feel and then the next step is a different feel, or like you have some of the old Astro Turf fields, all the seams where the zippers would come up and the turf would start to turn over and you’d trip over it or it would give, you think you’re going to plant and it’s going to hold and then it gives, that’s a problem. Or you think it’s going to give and it doesn’t, and then it grabs. And that’s where a lot of non-contact injuries occur. Like, for example, the one we had on Sunday, which was a non-contact injury."

Pregame radio says there might be more Steelers jersey's in the stands than Texans jerseys. Wouldn't be all that surprised to be honest, tons of Steeler fans here in Houston. I have at least 3 friends in town that are Steeler diehards and bought tickets to the game.
theyre called bandwagoners

Steelers have been outplayed in every facet of this game. And yet, if they can get a 2 minute drive going (Ben's specialty) they're right back in it.

Still same Texans...dominate then you look up and they are only up 10 with LOTS of game left. Come on lets get TDs instead of FGs

Someone else said it but worth mentioning again. Can't recall one team so dominant over another yet only up by 10. Feels like 28-0 game. Pitt not the type of team let hang around.

Similar last week with playing NO. Dominate but only came away with FGs then came back to haunt them

What kind of turf was Britt playing on last week? The Texans stadium has been this way for 10 seasons, if someone could point to something that injuries are more frequent here I might believe it's something more than just a scapegoat for bad luck.
