Oh yeah Baby!!!!TOM WHO?!?!?The Return of the Moss
How brutal was that one?Hmmmm... well, Cassel's *first* bomb to Moss looked nice?
Any update? Did it look bad?Jordan looks like he's on the sideline with a injury. Right leg something.
haven't gotten anything yet. Faulk just played pretty much the entire last series.Any update? Did it look bad?Jordan looks like he's on the sideline with a injury. Right leg something.
Already asked that question, w/o a response yet.is rodeny harrison playing? ugh
Not really. Actually not even close. The wildcat formation has a RB at the QB spot taking the snap. This was simply shotgun formation with a direct snap to the RB. Much different.Kevin Faulk scores his second goal line TD of the game, this time from the same wildcat formation that killed the Pats against Miami.
Thanks for clearing that up for Fred. The guy is notoriously wrong. Not really. Actually not even close. The wildcat formation has a RB at the QB spot taking the snap. Just wanted to add more clarification on this too for non-fans who catch the Pats games... it's often utilized in the goal line with Faulk (usually) offset to the right of the QB and it features the QB faking as if the ball was snapped over his head while Faulk gets the direct snap and runs forward. As Pat said, not even close to the Wildcat formation. If anything, it's similar to the "Shotgun Snap" play in the Tecmo Bowl series.Other observations (to tie in with Boston)- Maroney will run hard at times but often I notice that he seems to stop then start behind the LOS trying to find the hole or look to bounce it outside first before realizing such isn't an option and ending up taking what's there. Whenever Morris or Faulk (esp.) are running the ball, they immediately attack the hole and run north/south direction.- Cassell... two things bugged me even into the fourth quarter. He seemed to lock onto the initial receiver for longer than necessary (4-5 seconds rather than 2 seconds, not open, move to #2 option), which led to some of his sacks. He also and my Dad noticed this too, he seems to look short first whereas Brady seemed to look deep, then middle, and finally dumped it off knowing that the safety valve was there from the snap of the ball. It seems like Cassell had a lot of coverage sacks (also tended to run up into the rush) and seemed to look short 4-7 yards first outside of the lone long throw to Moss.- Gostkowski reminds a lot, funny enough, of Vinatieri when he was a Patriot. I really think that letting him kick inside the 45 a ton and just going for it on 4th down his rookie year to limit his 44/45+ yard attempts really helped boost his confidence in the kicking ability and since then, Belichick has grown more comfortable trotting out Gostkowski for the longer kicks when necessary too.Pat Patriot said:Not really.
